The most intensely aggravating thing I have ever seen marketed as super chill and relaxing. The manual seed-planting mechanic in particular damages the ability to just relax and go with the flow, and the game seems unable to recognise if the player is getting stuck. Trying over and over to make the same shot while the game gleefully respawns obstacles in the way is not tranquil.

I'm obviously an outlier here but it just didn't work for me.

Recommended for people who enjoy piecing a story together. It can take a little bit to get the hang of how the puzzles and unlocks work (click on things that look locked, it may help!)

If you follow me you probably enjoy twisty-turny story games with a lot of options and a lot of possible outcomes, and that's exactly what you'll find here. There are many paths to take, some of which are only unlocked on later playthroughs, and many secrets to unravel.

If you hate making decisions without knowing what will happen or you're not into spooky family cults, though, you will find it stressful.

Really enjoyed this once I got the time to check it out. It's on the easy side (many of the powerups and relics never really get a chance to shine because the dungeons aren't that long) but if you want a relaxing simple kind-of-RPG-ish thing with cute graphics, it's fun.

It's basically like a single issue of a comic book, with sound and very minor animation. If you'd buy that, then go for it. Expect some dark/psychological content.

Entertaining but also kind of depressing.....

Better than a lot of match-3s. There's some new mechanics, some levels with optional bits so you don't HAVE to do everything to advance, and the possibility of getting a few bonus stars for faster work, even if it doesn't really matter in the end. All in all it makes it feel more active while still being very familiar.

A neat little story game with atmospheric music. It is QUITE short, especially if you're impatient and a fast reader, but fun to explore.

So I definitely get on a lot better with this than the usual swipey Realms type game. Once you figure out how the basic mechanics work you can make PLANS much more easily and actually have a trajectory. Nothing's guaranteed of course since the right cards might not come up or an unexpected interaction might shunt you somewhere else, but you can generally have the idea of "I want to do THIS this time" and actually go do it.

Only my second character or so was already a pirate captain who married a noble prince, built a house in Atlantis, developed magical powers, adopted a Tiefling child, etc.

There is going to be some trial and error as you figure out what choices lead to what, so if you're one of the people who hates that, skip. But if you're tickled by "Wow, the bear cub I found in the forest is now my riding steed and because of that the barbarian king thinks I am super cool and let me lick his power stone which gave me super-strength" then enjoy.
