To start I played through the entire game on the Steam Deck. Not ideal but it is playable.

The game is amazing, a great psychological horror game with deep themes and story elements. I never played the original nor had it spoiled for me over the years and I’m glad I didn’t.
Will be thinking about this one for a while.

You'd be better off smoking crack.

Buy if you enjoyed star fighter assault and combat in Battlefront 2. Game builds on BF2 ship combat and is way more satisfying when you get a kill. Feels like there's more strategy to gameplay. Hopefully they add more ships like B-Wing and TIE Defender.

Feels like you're playing the movies.

From start to finish this game is awesome. Theres a sense of fear the whole time while also feeling like an old school Resident Evil game. Lots of inventory and item management the puzzles are there and the atmosphere is so detailed and puts you right in the Baker house. Took me about 7 and a half hours to beat but totally worth it. Ill also do another playthrough for the second ending and with free story content coming soon to look forward to theres plenty of fun to be had. So far one of the best games this year for me its an 9/10

Some performance issues aside (on my end not very much) this game is great fun. So far the story is pretty good with engaging cutscenes with great acting and facial animations. The combat is brutal with normal takedowns and the brutal takedowns some are very violent and cringe worthy. Shooting is also cool with a good variety of every weapon type. Driving mechanics are on par with GTA V in my opinion and the environments are pretty realistic and immersed me in the 1960's time period. A negative would be the lack of vehicle customization and so far i dont think its possible to save cars to a personal garage for later use. Aside from that shops are also a bit useless you can go in and rob them and some have collectables inside but you cant purchase food or weapons like in Mafia 2 (weapons are bought out of the back of a van). Overall i'd give Mafia 3 a solid 7/10.
