I first heard about NMS when reading an article about it's procedural generation. This alone was a facinating enough aspect for me to try the game, and without much afterthought, I pulled the plug. There was so much FPS lag when I started up the game that I nearly demanded a refund after playing for only half an hour. At first I thought I had been gipped, but a little bit of googling and experimentation with graphics settings made the game reasonable to play. +20 hours later, and it's safe to say that it is certainly an enjoyable game, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it's a $60 game, either. Being able to sit back and explore a universe that you literally couldn't see all of in a life time is a bit heady fealing and simultaneously relaxing. While this fades after time due to the worlds appearing to be slightly different variations on a common theme, the game is still pleasant and enjoyable and makes for a good experience.

Due to missing launch features and bugs, I would highly recommend waiting for the game to go on sale before giving it a spin, other than that, I'd give it a 7/10.
