this is honestly the most scholar of the first sin DLC imo, it's so obnoxiously designed and only has a few high points to really counter act the "let's throw several fast enemies into a room lmao" type design that's everywhere.
and not to mention that there's only 3 bosses and one of them is a bad reskin of an already bad boss fight????

so much of this game is teeth grittingly time wasting
its highs and lows are insane, but the game feels like it doesnt ever want you to reach its heights
with unskippable cutscenes, inconvenient co-op mechanics, and fights that last far longer than they should
it feels like the game gave me the instruction manual for driving a fork lift and then asked me to fly a plane

i saw someone describe this as an Amnesia spinoff of Dishonored and that's actually so fitting lmao

its like someone saw all those cheap fantasy paperback novels with the cool painted covers and said "somebody should make a game with this vibe"

really amazing start

but if you didn't like the second half of Elden Ring for turning into a 3D bullet hell where everything kills you in 1 hit then I have amazing news lmao

the difficulty is still really dumb lol

I've realized the reason why Elden Ring's latter half and DLC content bother me so much is because in previous titles, the RPG mechanics could help a player compensate for not being great at rhythm games.
however, the second half of elden ring and DLC say "♥♥♥♥ you" to this design philosophy and make you hit your power ceiling when other bosses and enemies seem to never hit a limit.

it's a preference thing, but I enjoy that way more than playing the boss equivalent of Through the Fire and the Flames on legendary difficulty
