The sky is bright and the clouds are white as snow
I see the empty fields of green below
I tell myself what I sight
I listen to the roar of the Messerschmitts engines made by the finest
I look behind and see the endless lines of white streams that follow
The sky above looked beautiful as it was everyday

But dots began passing through the snow like clouds
Then the blue skies become covered in the silhouettes of our enemies
The beautiful skies gone forever
I knew it would be a different world
I look up
And pray to see my smiling family again

As the dark silhouettes dived they showed their bright clear Allied steel plates
They released their red streams of fire as they inched closer to me
As I try to avoid the red flames of death, it caught me
The once untouched masterpiece is shredded like a wind ripping leaves off of trees

I hear the engine crackle like a truck giving out
I look around to see the blackening smoke I once knew too well
The crimson red surrounding me and the gusting wind passing through my ears
As I plummet down to the green clear fields I only wish to have happiness
I close my tired eyes and listen to the last sounds of the cracking engine and the gusting wind
At least I knew it came with the job
