The story is trite, the main character (and many characters) are completely unlikable, the mission variety sucks, the cars and bikes handle like ass, and the final mission is a buggy mess to the point I couldn't beat it. Go play GTA San Andreas if you want a good GTA game, or even 5, over this rubbish.

Not many games can make me shed tears. It's not perfect; the driving mechanics aren't amazing but they work fine. I haven't explored every facet of the game but what I have explored was always either interesting, funny or both. Don't expect complex mechanics, you're here for the story and the world, both of which are above average. You may not necessarily see the long term consequences of all your actions like on Fallout, but I respect that creative choice.Completely worth playing.

Thoroughly enjoying this! Looks great, plays great. The story is fairly good (not amazing but not at all bad). I will definitely replay on the hardest difficulty at some point!

Played through multiple times, imo has the best 3rd person shooter combat in any game. Beautifully simple but endlessly satisfying. Still looks great to this day, plus since it's an older game, you should be able to run it at a decently high framerate. The plot is solid, not perfect but arguably pretty good. A bit depressing but arguably in a good way. Best played with a drink in your hand so you can get into character as Max. 9/10

Made me laugh, made me cry- seriously great game. It's basically 'having friends and doing ♥♥♥♥ with them simulator'. If like good dialogue writing and dumb, fun minigames, definitely check this one out.

It's good fun and very cute. Good humour, not necessarily the funniest game ever, but it's at least pretty engaging and original feeling. It reminds me of Psychonauts in a good way, and that's a strong compliment.

One of the best flying games ever, great for relaxing too or taking seriously depending on your mood, great for playing whilst watching something.
