TL;DR
Buy game on Sale (I say $30 bucks max)

Summary
My time with Shadow of war felt like a chore. It features a highly repetive system that veterans from shadows of mordor, like myself, hated from the first game. At the time of writing this review I have pretty much done 100% of the game within 30 hours of gameplay. I bought this game for $30 bucks so that traslates to $1 for every hour of semi-entertainment. There is not enough content to buy at $60. DO NOT BUY IT AT $60!!!!!

First lets talk about what I enjoyed,

- Combat System makes your character look awesome (very assassin creed like)

- Had some cool lore

- The Nemesis System was improved upon from the previous title by adding new traits

- Fort sieges were really fun in the beginning of the game

- The addition of mounted drakes was awesome

- Implementing an online system so you can challenge other player's overlords, avenege
them from a captain that killed them, and take over forts they own.

- Spoiler: Becoming a Ring Wraith was awesome in my opition. Being able to raise the dead and summon soldier wraiths was fun

Now lets look at the many things that made me want to throw my chair out the window,

- The targeting is absolute trash, the game defines where you want to go based on where your character is facing (like older assassin creeds) instead of where your character is looking (which made assassin creed origins so great). Many times I found my self doing a stealth attack on the wrong character or jumping off a tall building when I was trying to jump to another. Parkor on a mount is even worse. It will climb ANYTHING you walk near.

- if too many normal enemies surround you while fighting, it is very easy to get chain attacked and lose all health before you can do anything.

- It is very hard to form any attachment to any NPC. Though I really want to, I find it hard to love any of the characters in this game

- Once you got the combat system down the game was way to easy. I found my self killing captain in about 20 seconds even if they were a much higher level than me.

- I didn't find pit fights very entertaining. I just used it to kill off all the captains I did not want to spawn new ones

- Spoiler: Act IV is so lazy you literally go around upgrading you forts and defending them for hours on end with no real objective or story to it. The game really ends on act 3 which I achieved around hour ten of my game time

- Spoiler: the game ending was absolutely terrible. You can tell the developers were in a time crunch and needed to end the series to make sale dates

- Game was way to short in my opinion. If you knew what you were doing you could finish missions in a couple of minutes

- Enemy Monologues can range from a few seconds to what feels like hours plus they are unskipable. It gets worse when you engage more than one captain at a time. Just another way they try to cram there fancy system down the players throats.

- I felt there was very little customization options in the game settings.

As you can tell from my hours there is a lot of replay-ability in Arma 3. You will get a ton of hours of gameplay just doing the main campaign and scenarios but there are many other thinks you can sink hundreds if not thousands of hours into. There are workshop missions, custom servers like wasteland and king of the hill, and community units that you can join that create missions and have lots of events to do.

The mods are just as amazing as well. Did you ever want to be a space marine fighting orks? A droid fighting clones? or even a american storming the beaches of Normandy? All of this is possible with mods and it is amazing.
