1. Tank vs. Tank. A shot hits one of the tanks, making the tank unusable - AI Crew Jumps out.
2. AT vs. Tank. A shot hits the tank, making the tank unusable - AI Crew Jumps out.
3. Titanium Bush vs. Tank. The bush scrapes off a reasonable portion of the tank's paint job, making the tank less pretty - AI Crew Jumps out and tank explodes.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning and Charlie don't surf. That's all you need to know!

This is a truly unique game. It is originally about a fictional but authentic medieval world. With a great singleplayer and (in my opinion) even better multiplayer it can be a huge time sink. The community has a bit from everything, but you are guaranteed to always find something you can play. I suppose it looks a bit old, but believe me when I say it makes up for it. It's a great game to play with friends as well.

If you want just that little extra you can also join a regiment, usually active on the game's best DLC: Napoleonic Wars. This is where most of my time playing this game has vansihed (said in a positive way). It's a really good expansion which brings the game into the 19th century. it includes the UK, France, Prussia, Austria and Russia. It does not come with singleplayer but it is still worth it. There is a free mod called "L'Aigle" which adds this for the expansion anyway.

L'Aigle brings me to another point: Mods.
Are you interested in some period in history? There's probably a mod for it. There are plenty of mods from the age the romans, to the Great War and beyond. Some of the ones I like are, for example:

L'Aigle (Napoleonic)
North and South (American Civil War)
Whigs and Tories (American 1st War of Independence)
Blood and iron (Age of Imperialism)
Anglo Zulu War Mod
Iron Europe (The Great War/WW1)
And a lot more...

This is the best value I have EVER gotten out of a game compared to it's cost.
personally this wouldn't have been the case for me if I never joined a regiment (an in-game clan), however, as it is what makes the Napoleonic Wars expansion extremely good in my opinion. If you want to join a regiment you can easily find one that would suit you from the many options to choose from here:

I have never really gotten into the Native (The original medieval based module) community but I am sure they have a lot of clans for that as well, exchanging the muskets and colourful uniforms for a badass sword, a shield and some armour. or perhaps a bow, who knows?

"1 more minute then we go over the top", they tell me.

Oh god, what is my cunning plan?

Desertion? No, too risky.

But then again so is going over the top...

A quick shot in my foot to fake an accident?

That probably wouldn't do it either...

"Over the top, boys!"

Well, well. Forget it!

Charge! For King and Country!

*Instant death*

At least it was quick...
