From the Depths is a game like no other. If you like to tinker, are obsessed with Lego, and enjoy playing with little green men, then this is the game for you!

Most of the game is spent, in the sandbox box vehicle-designed mode, learning how to play the game and implement its various weapon, proportion and armour mechanics. But if that gets boring, the game now features inbuilt TV blocks, so you can now watch as much YouTube as your heart's contents.

From the Depths offers not one but two primary campaigns: a land campaign, suited to tank game-play and a sea campaign for those who wish to deploy submarines, frigates, destroyers, and much more.

And lastly, for those who have achieved mastery of either campaign, the game features an adventure campaign, where you start off on a wooden raft

The game has a very extensive learning curve; however, the community in From The Depths are very supportive, and there is an extensive bank of tutorials to transform you into a professional.

The Land campaign, by nature of the craft size restriction, is better suited to learning how to optimise craft design and manage resource costs which can get out of hand very easily. Rail guns, for instance, are highly effective weapon systems but can prove far more costly to implement than a traditional gun-powder-based cannon. And not to mention, for more energy hungry, which only creates further difficulty when faced with finding a power-pack capable of supplying it within a compact form factor.

Inevitably pursuing very expensive craft in the early game, will mean you'll have fewer craft to deploy across your fronts. And therefore, you'll have to be far more selective in the crafts deployment. Ultimately, the strategy which you devise in order to conquer the territories of the enemy factions should be reflected in your craft designs to meet your intended strategies' strategic requirements.

For more advanced users, the game offers breadboard and LUV coding blocks to enable users to develop more interesting/demanding applications. This, however, is not essential and is merely there for those who desire a little more.

I have now played this game for over two thousand hours, and it's one of the few that hasn't become stale.

Thoroughly recommend - Great game!
