Game is 50% beautiful and innovative, 50% unfinished. It has a style of turn planning that's fun and isn't seen often, if only it used it. many examples include:
If you try to take advantage of the aiming system to do anything fancy you will find you cant, You cannot aim where a mech will be because it targets the ground and will hit nothing. It has beautifully done cutscenes with voiceacting, but only for the prologue and no where else. It has interesting mini events as you travel the map, but in 60 hours I just saw 4 repeated over and over again. It has a decent weapon variety, superseded by the fact that you and your enemies weapons scale infinitely so you are just using the highest level gear you have to keep up. You have Character creation and customization with no impact on the gameplay. Tutorial shows special buildings and side objectives that never appear in the main game.
I held off writing a review assuming the game would get better, but its completely untouched since i started playing.
