ther is. You can contruct light, medium or heavy armor with dragon bones or whatever material you are using to contruct your armor. Go to Uesp.com/skyrim and it details everything you want to know about everything in the game . it is a great site.

It is great armor, but hard to sneak around in it. I like the ebony armor or the assassins armor
