An amazing game with even more potential, balance changes are needed and the building system isn't perfect but it's not finished yet and has a long way to go so if you want to support the devs through early access definitely pick it up!

Excellent game, it isn't very deep in terms of combat or management. If you've played previous paradox games you know what i'm talking about when i say that you basically throw units at the enemy until they die.

The shining star in this game for me is probably the science porn. I love looking at all the different celestial objects on display. But other than that you can create your own civilizations and decide how they are managed, want a xenophobic dictatorship hellbent on taking control of the galaxy? Or a hivemind that wouldn't hurt a fly? You can do both.

Just be prepared. Like most Paradox games it has DLC that will cost you a small fortune even if you only buy the major ones *during* a sale.

econ 101

I've spent 10 hours in this game ever since i bought it a few months ago. Whilst i've spent almost 100 hours in Civ V. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game. problem is that it's too similar. Sure, there's the new supporter system and tech tree. but it's not enough.

I recommend this if you haven't played Civ V before. (i still recommend buying Civ V instead of this) but if you already have played it, You'll find this game boring if your taste is anywhere near mine.
