I enjoyed the simulation experience of the growth/advancement of a settlement. The diversity is impressive and the thought that goes into expanding, trade, location choice, etc., is a nice challenge. What killed it for me was suddenly, and without explanation, watching my population die off from cold weather. It crippled progress and economics in just 3 winter cycles, regardless of resources and logistics. It really just sucked, and so I'm onto something else.

Loved the first one - love the one, absolutely love it. Some changes were made to the hud, weapon inventory and crafting, but still love the game. The additional abilities are cool, the map is huge, the stories are terrific, the new/added machines are sweet. All in all, another remarkable achievement. HOWEVER...............the melee pit challenges are THE MOST STUPID, let alone frustrating, feature of the game. Combinations take an incredibly ludicrous amount of repeats to figure out, if they can be at all, and no guidance is provided as to what is being done wrong. I simply stopped trying them and completely ignore that entire part of the game because it is not fun in the l;east whatsoever (insert multiple profane words). Also, I can appreciate some thinking and a bit of puzzle-breaking, but if I wanted to play Portal, well I would just play Portal, ya know. I mean come on, can you say over doing it...? Aside form those 2 flat tires, the game is very enjoyable to play.

Advertisement of the game play is very misleading. The simplest of functions (making a room the size you want it - hello), is soooo tedious and difficult. Changing the room size of provided templates is not possible. This is far more easy to do in MS Excel. The instructions are so basic, general, and pretty much useless. No undo button, seriously? Requested a refund after 30 minutes.

I'm not one of those kinds of people who just instantly know how to play a game 5 seconds after I install it - it takes me time to figure things out. This game took me a while, but I stuck with it and grew to like it. It has several mission levels, infinite exploration, base-building, multi-level challenges. Great game to get engrossed with.

BUT THEN after hundreds of hours of enjoyment, gathering, accomplishing, upgrading, preparing...along comes an upgrade...I don't adapt well to significant changes. Others may, but I don't. Improvements, streamlining and added features are great, but overhauls that significantly affect game play to the point of having to REDO things you already did, that set you back in your efforts after you spent hours and hours to gain, and eliminating options and features that once existed - don't advertise THAT as improvement. Make that stuff an option, don't just screw up my game after ALL THIS TIME.

Players who will just start playing won't know the difference and I hope they enjoy playing as I did previously, but man, this just really killed it for me...onto something else...

Absolutely love, love, LOVE this game! Every facet about game play, user interface, and functionality was easy to follow and improve upon. I'm not really into story lines so much, but I quite enjoyed this one. The map is huge, there are lots of quests of all kinds, enough difficulty to get you frustrated, but not so much as to turn you off. The variety of weapons, ammo, mods, adversaries, special items, hidden items...it's all an absolutely enjoyable combination. Not to sound cliche, but this is one of those games that you just don't want to stop playing! REALLY hope Forbidden West comes out on PC soon!!

IMO, there are too many unexplained details about HOW TO DO things in this game. What the objectives are appear to be pretty cool, but after a 2-2 1/2 hrs I just lost interest in trying to figure out what ought to be easy to do so.

It's big trucks, big tires and lots of mud - what's not to like!! The realism of the truck movements is pretty freakin' cool. I think the steering is a bit off (too much over correction), but that's the only thing I can say I dislike after 3 hours. Multiplayer is even more fun, tag-teaming with the winches and fuel. On sale, it's worthwhile for sure!

Just a fan of open world-type games where you can build stuff. The majority of the game being under water is a very cool feature, too. Hoping for some DLC's or added features in the future.
