Well... What can I say? It's a cartoony, bullet hell (or maybe it's bullet heaven) that is addictive, fun, replayable and... fun.

...I think SEGA just broke the internet.

SEGA, you may not realize this now, but you have now single-handedly introduced (and popularized) Visual Novels to the west with this April Fool's joke.

I enjoyed Inscryption very much. I'm happy for your success, Daniel Mullins / Daniel Mullins Games. Congratulations.

If I may I make a request, I would love to see an Inscryption sequel(or spiritual successor) that is just the Forest Cabin part of the game - fully-fleshed out, more rooms, more cards, more unlockables, more in ...everything.

(What I liked)
+This DLC is working a intended; so, far, I haven’t encountered any bugs and glitches
+New cutscenes.
+you get to play as Vergil in all missing.
+Playable in Bloody Palace.
+It’s just 5 euros.
+The Dark Slayer-Style is a bit more robust.
+You don’t have to purchase Vergil’s 4-song packs and costume(s), you can unlock them by beating the game

(What I disliked)
-CAPCOM deliberately omitted features from SE, because of the whole console exclusivity deal.
-the explanation of the skill ‘’Judgement Cut’’ seems to be missing from the skill list

(What conflicts me)
...Just 3 weapons again? like in the last two games? why? And Why the Mirage Force Edge? Why not a new weapon or new power(s) or something? There are a few new move sets but... Not that much.

Before I get to the review, I'd like to share my history with this series
Oh boy, Onimusha. Me and this series go way back in the mid- to late-2000s with Onimusha 3 and Dawn of dreams. Later on, tail-end of the 2000s, I finally got a hold of Onimusha 1 and 2 on my ancient PS2.

After Onimusha DoD was released, I thought CAPCOM would follow-up with another Onimusha on the PS3. I’m someone who bought a Playstation 3 for Japanese games - a new ''Zone of Enders''; a new ''Onimusha''; a new ''Breath of Fire'' and what have you. Onimusha on the PS3 ...didn't happen.

During the 7th generation of gaming, a good amount of Japanese developers broke away from SONY’s Playstation-brand and developed games for other platforms - smartphones; Nintendo DS; Nintendo Wii; Xbox360(a little bit) and what have you.

There were some Japanese developers who did follow-up on some of my favorite PS2 games - a new ''Disgaea'', a new ''Metal Gear Solid'' and a new ''Devil May Cry''. ...I would have counted in Final fantasy XIII if it wasn't so ...you know, nothing special. Same goes for Resident Evil 5&6.

Onimusha is pretty much a product of its time for a Playstation 2 game of the 2000s - to show off fancy cutscenes to everyone, to display how powerful the system was at the time; fixed camera; bad English voice acting; almost a copy and paste of Resident Evil (before developers wanted their games to be like GTA, a good amount of developers and publishers wanted their games to be like RE back then.)

About the ‘’ghostwriter-controversy’’:
When I came to the final boss battle of the game, I finally realized that CAPCOM has swapped out the music from the original game with a new soundtrack. This made me very upset, because I loved Onimusha’s OST on the PS2. As it turns out, the alleged ''Japanese Beethoven'' is a fraud. So CAPCOM had to compose new music to avoid any controversy

Onimusha Review

New things that I've noticed

1. You can use the R-stick now ...with no tank controls? Why? Onimusha 1 wasn't developed with free movement in mind :(

2. The controls have been slightly swapped around, so I have to adjust my brain a little bit; I have to forget about how this game worked on the PS2

3. You can now switch between English and Japanese. And if you switch Japanese voice acting, one of the scenes in the game's uncensored.

Thing's I like:

1. Onimusha is back! Hurray!

What I personally disliked:

1. The Bad VA (that's right, RE, you're not the only one)

2. I can't skip cutscenes (this should have been remedied)

3. No native 4K

4. I don't think this is the Genma Version

5. I'm not a fan of the new soundtrack

In conclusion
Please CAPCOM, re-release Onimusha 2, 3 and Dawn of Dreams.

The prequel to Enderal is finally here on Steam, you don’t have to download and install Nehrim the old way.

-The good
1. Hand-placed enemies, just like Enderal (SureAI, kudos for doing away with Bethesda’s level-scaling. I don’t like level-scaling in RPGs)

2. The Story

3. If I’m not mistaken, SureAI has improved Nehrims’ faces over the old-school version.

-The Bad
1. No English dub . There were talks about dubbing Nehrim; but eventually, SureAI let it go. (Here is hoping some fans will take matters in their own hands and dub the game themselves.)

2. No vampire counterpart and no Dark Brotherhood counterpart.

3. Crashes (though I don’t think it has much to do with SureAI. I think it has mostly to do with the outdated engine, legacy software/OS not working properly with Win10

-Conclusion
Nehrim is mostly everything I wish the Original Oblivion could have been - everything is hand-placed with no level-scaling; interesting story; and no potato faces. ...but there is no ENG voice acting; and I'm disappointed to see that SureAI didn't implement a vampire and dark brotherhood counterpart this time.

Before I get on with the review, I first of all would like to say:

ATLUS finally did something that I've been complaining to them about for a long time - both on Twitter and YouTube - they have finally released P4G on the PC.

By the way, where is the YouTube trailer? Where is the big announcement by ATLUS? You know, ‘’THIS IS IT! ATLUS IS FINALLY RELEASING PERSONA 4 GOLDEN TO PC! FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF EVER! EVERYONE, GET EXCITED!!! COMING 13TH JUNE! GET IT NOW!’’

Let it be known, all around the gaming community, that june 13th, 2020 is the ‘’Persona 4 Golden day’’. For this is the day that ATLUS finally released Persona 4 Golden to PC, the first time in the history of ever.
...By the way, I do know that Catherine was made by ATLUS and also came to PC with no big announcement behind it but ...but, you know, that's not a MegaTen/Persona game.

I never thought in a million years that ATLUS would one day make a PC port of a Persona game ...ever. But lo and behold, here it is, at last. Of all the platforms, I thought ATLUS would either release P4G on the NEW3DS or on the Switch.

The excuse I see from Persona/MegaTen fans is "ATLUS doesn’t think the PC is THAT PROFITABLE and they don't have any statistics and… bla bla bla" even though the PC market has been more and more profitable over the years, and finally got more attention in the 2010s.

With the release of P4G, my hope of ever seeing P5R on PC has been heightened. The fact that P4G finally did release to PC is a good sign. And I hope foreshadows things to come.

Here is hoping ATLUS will turn this into a healthy habit of releasing more of their games to PC.

Please, keep it up ATLUS :)

As for the Persona 4 review:

-The Positive

1. In comparison to the original P4, you can finally choose your preferred spell / skill on to your persona, instead of being all like X, O, X, O, X, O ...until you finally get your preferred skills

2. The Story is great. When I played the original Persona 4 not that long ago, I could see the subconscious story pattern between P5’s story and P4. (don’t worry, you don’t have to play P4 to know the story of P5)

3. The extra character(s) with new S. Links(confidants)

4. More holidays and events, in comparison to the original P4

5. More soundtracks, in comparison to the original P4

6. There is no level-scaling, so enemies will be the same level they were when you finished that area. (I personally don’t like level-scaling in my RPGs. I’m very happy that ATLUS has been conservative throughout the years with their RPG philosophy)

7. In comparison to the original P4, you can finally cast buffs and debuffs without waiting for the first effect to go away.

8. I like the new VA for Teddie and Chie (in my opinion).

-The Negative

1. That special car-chase cutscene hasn’t aged well. (If it is at all possible, I'm going to download a MOD that is going to replace all the special cutscenes from the Anime)

2. The PS2/VITA graphic hasn’t aged so well. (There are some people talking about how they are going to MOD P4G with the P4 dancing models but… but how is THAT going to make things look better with everything else around them? such as the PS2 houses and other PS2 styled NPCs and enemies)

3. There is no ‘’very fast battle’’-option like in Persona Q; so, if you are going to grind levels, then open up YT in the background or something, it’s gonna take a while.

Is CAPCOM going through its own renaissance-era right now?

-I hope so. first I played DMC5 and now RE2: Remake; and hey, SURPRISE! They are great games; and they are even great games at day one - No more shallow ‘’apology patches’’ from the developers; No more trying to imitate a best-seller... for all the wrong reasons (RE5 = Call of Duty); Both games doesn’t force me to spend money on rubbish DLCs; And both games feel like complete products, FINALLY! I feel like it has been, like, 11- or 12-years since last time I bought a complete and working AAA-game from a AAA-developer such as CAPCOM; and best of all: RESIDENT EVIL 2 IS A RESIDENT EVIL GAME! I’m so glad that this isn’t RE5(it’s fun but it’s not scary) where CAPCOM blatantly wanted a piece of that Call Of Duty pie because the economy crashed in 2008. And lastly, in regards to the headline, please, CAPCOM, please don’t lose this momentum; As a longtime fan, I want things to be great for you; I don’t want you to go out of business.

As for comparisons for the original RE2 on the PS1, it saddens me to say that I can’t help you there. I remember playing a little bit of RE2 on the PS1, back in the late-2000s or early-2010s; I went in to that weapon shop in the beginning (oh yeah, whatever happened to that in RE2: remake); then I moved on to the Police Station aaaaand… that’s about it, I guess.

The Good
1. CAPCOM finally went back and made Resident Evil great again. DLCs are just optional.

The Bad
1. The awkward dialogue: CAPCOM... you didn’t have to go back THAT far. Why would the protagonist have a conversation with someone in the middle of a crisis? If I was the protagonist, I would hurry and open up the fence AND QUICKLY.
2. Personally, I think RE2:Remake should have had a few tactical elements borrowed from RE4. Such as, if you shoot a zombie in the leg, you will temporary disable it for a few seconds

I don’t understand
1. Why can’t I dodge timed attacks like in the old days? Or how about in RE4: shoot knee + walk up and press the Action-button = KICK! And what happened to the 180 degree turn?

RE2 gets an overall score of 9/10 and my seal of Quality Controlled Products

Before I get to my ''review in a nutshell'', I first of all would like to say: shame on you, Supergiant Games for taking that Epic Games deal. I hope for your sake that the money was good enough to compensate the negative reaction from your longtime fans(including yours truly).

Review in a nuttshell: Hades
In comparison to older titles - from Bastion to Pyre - Hades has yet again pushed Supergiant Games into another level (no pun intended). Hades is awesome. I'm glad that Hades is more of an RPG than Bastion was. Kudos for that, Supergiant Games.

my negative to this game is that you can max out some skills way early and the game is early access(the Latter will be rectified in due time though)

Final Score: 9.5/10

As someone who bought this game way back around 2015, I can say with confidence that this game was worth every penny on Kickstarter.

Keep up the good work, Red Hook. And all the power to you in your next game.
