Simply a masterpiece in every aspect. Bandai/Namco are lucky to have Fromsoftware as game producer and a developer.

Ignore negative reviews, especially ones that criticize the story in Borderlands 3. Gearbox has outdone themselves with this game for sure. In short Borderlands 3 is superior in almost every way compared to its predecessors.

Spoiler free Review

-Along with updated graphics, Gearbox really did listen to its fans and delivered far better and memorable maps that are unique and diverse. Previous games featured more or less same environments and some poor design choices that made exploration a chore. Although there is still room for improvement, Borderlands 3 is far better game in this regard than any previous titles.

Weapons are just godly in this game. Comparing it to anything before this game its not even close. I am not focusing on hi tier competitive play and weapon balance in that regard. Just pure variety, weapon design, game-play of each weapon, customization and combos. There is no game that can mach Borderlands 3 in this regard. Its so good that i just cant turn back and play any other Borderlands game.

looting is important aspect of any looter shooter game. And finally its fixed and it feels awesome. In previous games leveling experience made weapon rarity almost insignificant since your new 3+ LVL green loot is suddenly much better than your epic or sometimes legendary since youre now leveld up. Epics and Legendaries were so rare and on top of that you just swapped them with some green or blue gear copula levels later that it didnt matter until endgame. This is not the case in Borderlands 3. Its better than ever. it feels like Diablo 3 looting. We even have Looting Midgets (like Looting Goblins in Diablo 3). you will see some awesome loot almost from the beginning and you will spend your time at the shooting range comparing your new gear almost after every mission. Its soooo rewarding. Loot drops scale with your level so you will be upgrading your Legendaries often , but this time with another legendary or epic.

Story is really straight forward. Negative reviews regarding the story in Borderlands 3 mostly come from personal dislike for main antagonists of the game and often compared to Borderlands 2. For some main villains of BL3 will be off putting but that doesn't make whole story bad or worse than story from BL2 for instance. I felt that main plot in BL 2 was just uninteresting and more a joke than anything serious. In BL3 its more straight forward and you can see the consequences of the conflicts in the game. Most of the time i just didnt care about main plot in BL2. Some smaller tasks were so unmemorable that i would almost forget what was point of it at all. In Borderlands 3 story is actually much better and much more memorable. I get that some people dont like main antagonists but they actually have many characteristics in common with Handsome Jack belive it or not.

I find bosses to be much better in this game as well. They are also more memorable, better design overall, and fun to take on. On Normal youll probably find them rather easy most of the time. You can always increase difficulty for better loot and more challenge. I enjoyed Bosses in this game much more so than in BL2.

I really enjoyed Beastmaster class. Its my favorite of all Borderlands classes. I also liked how they changed the way skills work without over-complicating it. You get to enhance your main ability and your summons/pets. Now you can chose between 3 abilities that leaves a room for many different builds within same class. Essentially it feels like you have a choice between 12 classes even though you get to pick one of the 4 characters.

Things that i would like changed or fixed:
-I would like longer main story , more planets and bigger maps. Not in a form of payed DLC but as an update. As much as i enjoyed BL3 i have to say that still jokes were better in BL2. Other than that this game is absolute looter shooter king.

I remember the good old days when ppl used to play QUAKE I and II as one of the most popular FPS games at that time. I always liked QUAKE II better. Story mode was simple yet very mystic with unique design. QUAKE IV continues the story from second game (while first one and third one did not have any). If you enjoyed QUAKE II you cant miss QUAKE IV. But if you dont care about the story and want to experience multiplayer mode, i would recommend Quake Wars over this one.
