Empty, dull, and you will end up getting an achievement enabler just so you can teleport directly to some places or skip the grind. Also too many radiant quests by a dozen, reused assets makes exploration feel hollow and you can tell if place A has a world story or if its just another generic base you picked up on scan, the scanner itself is just useless cause its your interface for both scanning things and trying to command things with a horrific blue outline on everything that doesn't have a color coding system or any real QoL features.

In short, wait 6 months to get this on sale and for the QoL, story, equipment, and enemy improvement mods to make this Fallout 4 in space something you can remember.

Vermintide 3, now with less content and a terrible store.

Early Access Review
This game is too real sometimes lol. "Hey builder you are getting a promotion!" "Really boss, does it come with more pay?" "Erm, no just more responsibility and new work assignments!" "Well, I don't really want it without more pay." "Well uh, take this work assignment anyways as punishment!"

Why are you reading reviews instead of playing the game?

The AI make choices that are logical, your combat units are trade off between civilian production or sending them off to war and you can demobilize them, plus no random AI getting upset cause you did something even though you never met

A weird mix of Gears of War, Division 2, and Destiny 2. Somehow that setup works for this looter shooter. Weapons hit hard, abilities feel and act different, and the story is somewhat interesting because your character isn't a moron or a complete bambi.

Only real complaint on launch is some of the server connection issues, just make sure to turn off motion blur and check to make sure you have the latest drivers.

Origins are great, add so much more flexibility with mods. Federation update is awesome cause the risk/reward cause you can spend the time and influence to wrangle your frenemies into a cohesive federation under your thumb is a good way to keep them in check. The Galactic Community is a useful place to get boosts and get the AI to respond to threats, plus super fun in multiplayer. But the only thing I don't like is how a Gesalt like the Driven Assimilator can get a massive diplomatic weight cause they just ate half the galactic community and no one is denouncing them.

Also, bug I've noticed. AI tend to create dozens of small fleets instead of creating larger forces, nor do they form into a unified force when fighting say a 100K stack of a Fallen Empire that is three jumps away from their homeworld.

The mecha genre has been so empty for so long, especially on PC. This fills the spot greatly. And without spoiling too much, three things will happen during your play through. You will regret your equipment choices at certain points. You will notice there is no difficulty changing; prepare carefully. And the game will progress, even if fail your mission objective. (And sometimes, that isn't a bad thing.)

You get to San-Matheus and any rosy idealism you had about this time period or what it represents is gone.
