Vanquish is a ridiculously fun game.

The combat has a lot of really stylish tricks you can do, and it is generally incredibly fast paced and fairly addictive, as you generally expect from a Platinum game.

On the other hand, it's quite short, and the story is quite forgettable.

If you're a fan of Platinum games or want some adrenaline rush for a good few hours, this is a fairly safe choice, especially at the price it usually hovers around nowdays.

A ton of content for a new player, lots of complex systems to dabble into, insane amount of customization, very consumer-friendly economy.
