I absolutely loved ArcheAge. I loved the civilian aspect with farming, housing, and ship building. It had enjoyable combat (even though I was terrible at it). And the class system has spoiled me because I want nothing else

Even with everything great about ArcheAge, there was one major flaw; Patron. It was a subscription model that made the game extremely paid to win. To do anything meaningful you would need to pay for it. So when it was announced that Archeage would be re-released but as a One-time purchase and wouldn't have micro-transactions (other than cosmetics) I was ecstatic. I quickly bought the game and played hundreds of hours of it. My Stockholm syndrome of the original game turned into actual enjoyment.

Now this is where the story takes an aggravating turn. When Kakao games acquired ArcheAge they decided to turn AAU into a subscription model as well, after it was specifically marketed to us as a one time purchase. So, now you have 2 virtually identical games that are both subscription based. *insert 4 letter word that begins with F here* Kakoa Games.

P.S. When this was first happening I looked into a refund, I emailed both Gamigo and Kakao games. Gamigo told me to ask Kakao, or to go through Steam (which steam obviously said no because I exceeded the 2 hour refund window), and Kakao told me that they couldn't because they were still waiting for the data transfer. So, its been close to a year now. The data transfer has happened. Where's my money Kakao? I am still owed $28.30 grumble grumble grumble
