Too easy and too repetitive. I have seen this game described somewhat accurately as a mix of "Papers, Please" and "Return of the Obra Dinn". Compared to "Papers, Please", however, the plot and your decisions affecting it fail to pack the same kind of punch, and the easy puzzles are boring without Papers' time pressure. And compared to Obra Dinn, the labeling puzzle you're solving is easier / less interesting.

An excellent short puzzle game. I don't normally like sokoban-style games, but this one is an exception, in part because it can build hard puzzles using a small number of very simple objects: one of the final puzzles I'm stuck on has only 4 objects (counting both the player and the stage itself), all with simple geometries. I also like how every edge case in the rules (of which there are several, thanks to the infinities involved in recursion) is turned into an opportunity via a new set of puzzles to explore.

- The sidequests are *terribly* executed. For example, many quests are advanced by chatting with an NPC at several different places, and there is often zero indication where the next place will be. So best case scenario you start the quest early on, then forget about it because there's nothing to go on, and occasionally just 'randomly' earn quest progress as you discover the NPC at future campsites, without any feeling of agency. Worse scenario, you start the quest late after you've already passed through the relevant campsites, and then unless you waste your time teleporting around to the literally hundreds of campsites you've already passed, you might just never find that NPC again without looking up a walkthrough. Even worse case scenario: you progress some quests in the wrong order and SURPRISE the earlier sidequest is now impossible to complete (and there may not even be any indication of that).
- The story is hopelessly opaque. I don't know who I am, why I'm fighting, or why this world is so incredibly bleak. I reach some point and it's like "press Y to rest in the coffin"; I press Y because at the meta-level it's obviously what you're supposed to do next, but why the hell would my character want to do that?? Or there's a questline which begins with you helping an NPC escape his prison after he literally tells you that he plans to kill you and defile your corpse. I almost feel like the game is *trying* to make it completely counter to sense, as if to make a point that you can get a gamer to do *anything* as long as it's dressed up as a Quest.
- The progression system discourages experimentation. One of the most wonderful things about the game is the extremely rich arsenal of weapons and spells. But a lot of the value in this is lost since experimenting with different loadouts is quite unnecessarily painful: either you have to use the new items ineffectually (i.e. with your current stat distribution which was not optimized for those items, and with the items at +0 upgrade level), in which case of course you won't like them as much as your old loadout, or you can make a fair comparison to your current loadout by respeccing your stats and upgrading the items, but this is not even possible until partway through the game and even then it will cost a shocking amount of resources, and after all that if you don't like the new kit those resources are still gone.

The core gameplay is your standard Zelda/Souls/etc RPG stuff. I very much enjoyed the secrets overall, though (minor spoilers) the camera angle is used to hide things behind other things slightly too often, and at least one puzzle is pretty dumb, and at least one is REALLY COOL for a while but then once you've cracked it I'd recommend looking up the full solution rather than painstakingly doing every last bit. Also I would not recommend playing this game translated out of its original English.

"Papers, Please" is a better game in this genre. But after you've played that you might consider playing this reasonably good light-hearted spiritual successor.

I wish there were a better way to play through just the remaining content - starting a new game gives me a random assortment of cages including many I've seen before.

This is a supremely pointless DLC. Even though it's Free I consider it a net negative, since I had to *spend time* figuring out that it's pointless before I could safely ignore it.

It's Slay the Spire crossed with Minesweeper; if you like both then this will definitely be fun at least for a while. At the beginning of the run you're playing normal minesweeper by trying to click on everything that isn't a monster (i.e. a mine); while by the end of a strong run you might be able to incinerate the monsters, or let an army of mercenaries rip through them, or simply shrug them off as they try to chip away at your 100 armor.

Weak recommendation, as there are many significant Cons:
- The game is *very* unforgiving of mistakes. This is true of many roguelites, but more so here - you'll be making a sequence of trivial moves very quickly and then suddenly BAM you miscount on one of them and you're DEAD, gotta start a whole new run. (And as the game says, "In space, no one can hear you misclick")
- Some mechanics are just *annoying*, and it's random which you'll find and there's no way to turn off the ones you don't like. Maybe you like to take your time on puzzles, and most of the time the game lets you, and then surprise this next stage will destroy one of your items every 30 seconds. Or does anyone actually enjoy the occasional Dark stage, where you can only see what's near your cursor? so you can still see everything by moving your cursor around, it's just annoying...
- I really didn't like the meta progression system. It's *very grindy* to accumulate tokens and artifacts, and then to make it worse I think it's unusually easy to regret your purchases here - you spend a bunch of tokens and artifacts on some special run only to die to a stupid mistake, or you spend them on unlocking a special ability which it turns out you don't like as much as your old one, and welp better go grind some more.

A simple puzzle platformer with novel mechanics. It's short (I completed main story and most collectables in ~2hrs), but I'm much happier with short-and-varied than long-with-filler. Overall it was too easy for me, but unlike most times I say that, I still quite enjoyed it: most solutions to the puzzles can be executed in just a few seconds once you figure them out, so even if many are too easy it doesn't feel like they're wasting your time in between the harder ones. I'd thus recommend this to genre aficionados of all experience levels.

Too easy; too repetitive; missing various obvious QoL features. I'm not sure why I played as long as I did; thankfully a bug came along and snapped me out of it by bricking the game [EDIT: note this has been fixed in V1.06] - it now just shows a glitched version of the startup screen. (It would totally be in their style to show such a screen on purpose, but I'm pretty sure this is an *actual* bug because it does not seem to respond to any kind of input or to waiting a while.) Dunno if a reinstall would preserve my save but I don't plan to find out.
