Although you're basicly doing the same run of 3 stages over and over, and will soon recognise loads of monsters the second combat starts... I just can't get enough of the of the quality rogue-like rush of earning just the right cards or relics.

The game stays challenging, even when you think you have the best possible deck build, anything can still take you out if you don't think ahead. The game also truely embraces the risk-reward factor of rogue-like games.

A true omage to the old Scorched earth I used to run from a floppy disk on an MS-DOS PC.

But now it's online.
Against anyone in the world.
And with a buttload of new and hilarious weapons.

What a time to be alive

I loved FTL and bought this game the second it came out.

Although this game is nothing like FTL, it turns out to have the same high standards in sheer fun. It's challenging, well thought through, strategic and no two runs are ever the same.
I've yet to determine wich of the two are the most fun, but here's some comparison between the two

- ITB is, off course, a different genre. It's now grid based and turn taking
- ITB has less micromanagement, yet more factors into it's main gameplay. Meaning there's less to do at the same time, but more to take into consideration.
- ITB feels more strategic than FTL. In FTL, you often enough can get out of things by sheer luck of the draw.
- In ITB there are less chances to upgrade/buy stuff, but there's a guaranteed shop at the end of each island. Items bought there are also more balanced, rather than FTL's "if you're lucky, you'll find X the moment you can afford it, turning your entire run into a cakewalk"

Overall, I like this game. Keep 'em comming, Subset!

I have never seen a published game have so much game-breaking bugs and mistakes. Every dungeon the player goes to is going to be a gamble if the game isn't going to die on you while playing that dungeon. And even though there have been plenty of patches and these bugs are well known; they just aren't ever fixed! I can only assume this development team pays little attention to it's community.

Other than that, the balance is just absolutely terrible. Some characters (like the summoner and paladin) start out with such useless skills it's better never to use them at all... (luckily, you can just swap skills from another character MAKING CLASSES IN THIS GAME COMPLETELY POINTLESS) whilst other characters (the archer for instance) just walk through everything a breeze, killing all that moves before it even realizes what's going on.

I really wanted to like this game, I really did. The idea and art are both appealing... but everything else just doesn't work. At all.

Not sure how historically accurate it was for Pier to be smashing crates all around Friesland, but it sure is fun.

Since this game seems to want constand reassuring; yes, I'm having a good time.

The game is a nice new class based shooter, and takes a more realistic approach than what's hot on the market right now. Rather than toony, I often feel a bit of warzone madness going on...
It's still in BETA testing now, but I feel like the characters will get more in-depth devlopment in the future, and maybe even more will come.

As a former TF2 player, I would advice this game for those who are willing to have the TF2 fun, without the humour, but with a lot more intresting game mechanics.

I'd like to address a serious problem;
This is too much fun.

- Classic turn-based RPG with widely buildable characters, in a randomized enviorement? Great!
- Hilarious side-characters and hidden jokes? Formidable!
- Being able to screw with evil (and less evil) corperations to the point where they just want you dead? This. Is. Awesome!

A boardgame version of game of thrones, but with animals... And no sexual content.
Put it back in your pants, furry-freaks!

Jokes aside, the art looks amazing, both 3D and drawn. It's also decently well balanced and fair... RNG is the only real downside.
