I was intrigued by this game prior to Jingle Jam, and it was one of the reasons for buying the bundle.

While other games were ruthlessly gifted off, this game was reserved from the beginning for my personal enjoyment. I'm glad I did!

A truly amazing game with wonderful characters, story, fun mechanics and...PROFIT!

Best 36 hours of my life.

You can raze mines as bandits, or play a kingdom trying to expand your mining operations and fight off bandits.
What I like about this game is the various sides from which it can be played. You can be Ratmen, Bandits, Cultists, Kingdoms, Goblins, Bears, etc.

Just wanted to point out that the game has improved radically over the last 1-2 years. The documentation is better (it has a tutorial!) and the various wizard schools have been fleshed out extensively. It used to be that you'd pick alchemy for the golems or die. Then you either picked alchemy for the golems or necromancy for the undead, or you died. Then they put in Tribal Chieftain, so you didn't even need to be a wizard anymore. Then the various wizard school summons were expanded.
Most schools at a higher level give you something strong to summon, without any other schools.
Most combinations of schools have something strong to summon.

Reminds me of Warlords 2. While certainly heavily inspired by Master of Magic, the fact that I don't have to pick the most gamey option imaginable to win kinda reduces the comparison. I think most paths are viable.
