Am I writing a review just to get myself a badge for the 2018 Steam Awards? Maybe. But regardless of my motives, Stellaris is phenomenal, and only gets better with each added update.

This game has sucked away over 1100 hours from me already, and with the upcoming 2.2 patch and Megacorp expansion, I'll probably sink another 1100 more. From a company willing to put so much effort and care into their projects, I'd expect nothing less but with Stellaris they've really gone leaps and bounds beyond.

Each expansion seems to one up its predecessor in scope and implication. 2.0 changed exploration and expansion from the ground up. 2.2 will do the same with planetary management, economy, and completely change how the game is played- for the better. If Stellaris doesn't win Labor of Love for the 2018 awards, there is no justice in this world.

~400 hours in three months. I mean, it's ok I guess.
