I would like to remind everyone several facts:
- Kojima had NOTHING to do with this remake, Konami treated Kojima like garbage and threw him to the curb all the way back in 2015 (10 years ago now FYI).
- Konami also blocked Kojima from receiving his awards for MGSV at the 2015 Game Awards.
- Konami then removed Kojima's name from all the marketing material for the Metal Gear series.
- Finally, in 2018 Konami squeezed out the abomination that is Metal Gear Survive, showing everyone that they should not be trusted with the franchise in any capacity.

Yet now I see a bunch of so-called "true fans" (who were probably trashing Konami back then too) gleefully shilling out 70$+ for this mediocre remake. Do people honestly have the memory of a goldfish? Do ya'll just impulse buy everything based on nostalgia? Cause this is pathetic.

If you want a definitive way to play MGS3: just acquire (by any means) a copy of the HD Collection and emulate it. It'll probably run better than this mess too.

(the manchildren may now Jester react me)

As a fan of OMD2, on release I was initially sceptical of OMD3, especially the War Scenarios. However, after having 5-skulled all the main story levels on Rift Lord difficulty I can say that this game is a worthy successor.

First of all, compared to OMD2, there are more traps and, in general, more elemental variety and versatility. Some returning traps have either gotten nerfed or buffed. For example, the Swinging Mace is kinda garbage now, but the Auto-Ballistas are finally viable.

The situation for the weapons and trinkets is kinda similar: we have some old favourites and new additions. Though we no longer have the Lightning Ring (RIP to a real one) and the Crossbow kinda sucks. I think weapon selection is solid and personally I'm glad that they didn't copy everything 1:1 from previous titles cause that would just be boring.

OMD2 had 34 levels in total (15 story, 10 classic, 9 DLC). OMD3 comes with 31 levels (23 story, 8 DLC). Some people didn't like the War Scenarios but I found them to be a nice change of pace.I can't comment on the DLC's since I have not finished them yet. However, the amount of levels is satisfactory considering that none of them are copies from previous titles.

Final verdict: is it worth the price? Maybe, depends if you're a big fan of the previous titles and/or Tower Defence games. However, the game does go on sale frequently for more than half off and that point the Complete Bundle is a steal.

Having revisited this game after a long time I can say that it has some fun movement and satisfying gore. Some people might complain about the cheesy jokes, but, c'mon man, it's Shadow Warrior, what do you expect.

However, several things just kill the flow of the game. The first one is repetitive quest design. The second and main one is the upgrade system. You have to constantly micro-manage tons of various trinkets you pick up in order to improve various stats by a few percentage points. The sheer amount of them is overwhelming. Additionally, you have to do inventory management once your backpack fills up. This aspect feels sort of antithetical to the series' game design and is just plain annoying.

However, if you're still curious and want to try this game out, I would recommend waiting for a sale. The game is frequently 90% off and at that price you're not losing much.

It was so cool of Valve to make a game based around the Gmod idiot box

Average CS2 community experience:
1. Players complain (rightfully) about the lack of updates and cut content from CS:GO.
2. Same players continue to throw heaps of cash into gambling and skins.
3. Valve continues to not give a sh*t.

These three steps repeat ad infinitum.

I can say without a doubt that this game is one of THE most iconic and memorable franchises of all time that will hold a special place in my heart until my last breath. Now you may ask: why the negative review then?

Because I'm sickened by what it has become due to neglect by the clown company known as Valve. Frequent cheating, rampant use of idle bots to farm items and a dev team that has been essentially reduced to 2-3 people in a basement, whose only job is to add a new cosmetic cosmetic case and some randomly picked maps every few months. I mean, look at the game's store page: the first thing you see is the trailer for Jungle Inferno, the last big content update from OCTOBER OF 2017. The frequent community outcry about these issues was met with "TF2 community, we hear you!". That was in May of 2022, it has been 2 years and nothing has changed, and at this point I'm sure nothing will.

Looking at this game just makes want to cry: the fact that something so amazing didn't go out with a bang or even with something as simple as a FINISHED COMIC SERIES is depressing. Instead it has been left to slowly wither away, all the potential it held being flushed down the drain by Valve's apathy.

Out of all the Borderlands games, I'd say the Pre-Sequel is the most underrated one. Obviously it's not on par with the greatness of BL2, but it does provide you with some interesting mechanics and fun characters to play with in addition to providing you with more lore about the characters/events from BL2/TFTB. People have complained about things such as Oz kits and zero gravity but personally I found them to be enjoyable cause they made traversing the world a lot faster.

I wouldn't buy the Pre-Sequel at full price. However, it has had discounts of 75% (in some cases even 90%) in the past, so I'd definitely recommend getting it on sale if you enjoyed BL2/TFTB. And, worst case scenario, it still won't be as big of a slog to sit through as Borderlands 3's story lol.

Note: this review will be a bit biased since I'm a long time Savant fan.

Savant Ascent can be described as a sort of bullet - hell platformer. The gameplay can be summed up as moving between two platforms and taking out various enemies that appear around you over time whilst trying to dodge their attacks. The game has two modes: story and endless. In story mode you face waves of enemies before facing different boss fights. Even though the beginning of the game is quite simple it can became pretty intense later on (especially with the final boss fight). Endless is essentially you facing non - stop enemy barrages and trying to survive as long as possible.

However, I feel that the visual and audio presentation is where this game shines the most. During your playthrough you can collect disc fragments that can unlock new Savant songs, which you can change in the Pause menu. These EDM tracks by Savant really add to the mood by hyping you up. The pixel art and backgrounds are also beautiful.

Personally it took me about 8 hours to 100% the game and get all the achievement. The only complaint that I have is that sadly there is no Steam cloud - save feature but, apart from that, for only 2€ (or 1€ during sales) this game is a steal, especially if you're really into EDM cause the tracks are truly bangers.

P. S. There is currently an Anniversary Edition of the game in the works so make sure to wishlist if it tickles your fancy.
