Think of it as a modern NBA Jam/Hangtime but with a pinch (or two) of your typical 2K microtransaction BS thrown in for good measure. You can pay to unlock the complete roster but honestly I found grinding for and unlocking players with Card Packs to be the main draw of the game for me. It's good, mindless fun - I wouldn't buy it at full price but give it a try if you find it on sale.
