I don't know what it is about this game. I have problems with some of the minutia of the gameplay but when everything is said and done; there has never been a game that scared me on a human level more than playing this game. I've been annoyed at having to replay long parts of games involving unskippable cutscenes and replaying whole levels of games just to get to that one hard part, but never something like this. I was scared that I was going to die, like for real. I haven't been back to this game since because it scared me so bad. That says a lot about how real it felt to me. I don't know if I could bring myself to play it again without someone close to me providing emotional support.
