The most hardcore, realistic survival game that has ever existed. Keep in mind this is the only successful zombie survival game in existence that also constantly works at fixing its issues and bringing new content over a 5 year period. This is probably my favorite game of all time, and with the addition of the Frostline DLC the game has been given a new breath of life. I would 100% recommend the new DLC as it is currently the best state the game has ever been in and I know this because I have been playing DayZ since 2015 when I was in middle school (lol) when it was only an Arma 2 mod. My only gripe is the Chinese hacking issue on official servers, a word to all new players and everyone reading this DO NOT play official servers. DO NOT PLAY OFFICIAL SERVERS. You will play for days on end and have the time of your life all to get killed across the map instantly by a hacker. If you love the vanilla original experience just look through the community server list and there are plenty of unmodded community servers to be found, where there is a real admin presence that does not tolerate cheaters. This game can be played solo or with some friends, either experience is unique. Keep in mind most bad reviews are from people who do not have the patience to learn to orientate yourself on a map, or cannot stand to run for 10 minutes straight. This game is not Call of Duty whatsoever and PVP can be sparse at times, but when PVP happens there is no adrenaline rush quite like DayZ on the market.
