Kenneth makes it worth it

My review currently still stands as negative but I plan to do a re-review after the "Big Patch" they are alluding to this summer.

Good and fun to play until level 15. Once you hit that level you will constantly end up in matches that make you wonder how you ever thought this game was fun. In addition hopefully you don't do like I do and pick classes other than Scout and Deciever otherwise you are going to have a real bad time. Another issue once you reach level 15 is that the matchmaking wait goes from seconds to minutes and 9 times out of ten you will just get dropped into an abandoned match and get to have all the fun of 1v4 and watch as people repeatedly join then leave your team. These developers seem to love throwing out nerfs in all the wrong places so don't do like I did and buy any of the new classes because they will just get nerfed a day later whereas all the other prevailing class issues remain. I will still continue to play this game but as of right now it feels more like a chore now that I get to have all the joys of dealing with people who make this game not fun. Hopefully they will implement a more casual kind of queu for matchmaking so that players won't feel forced to play a certain class a certain way and they will be free to experiment.

While I do reccommend this game, I suggest they add a small demo so that people know what they are getting. I anticipate that soon there will be people giving this negative reviews based on an inherent dislike of the graphics; which while the graphics are a bit hard on the eyes in my opinion the gameplay and the in-game humor are what make this game worth it to me. I haven't tried the multiplayer and I probably never will but it is nice that this game at least gives you the option. So overall this game is fairly priced at 5$ if you can handle the graphics.

Wait until it's at least in Beta. Currently still as unplayable if not worse than the build 13 I last played it in. As of writing its in 15b and the optimization is worse than before. From December to June of 2015 and still no change. Maybe there will be something to play within the next decade. Now they have released opt-in Build 15 and its still the same thing that is just as bad only now the world generation is more buggy and glitchy' the zombies look and move a lot worse and they now sink into the ground upon death. Also as an added bonus the game loves to fight you when you try to change the settings. Still not even worth 5$ in this state; go play Unturned for free or go pay for 7 Days to Die instead.
Update on November 3rd is game is still a horrible POS but now there is an uninspired menu with lots of sliders that don't do anything and several features that are unavailable for now. Still avoid this trash like the plague and go play the numerous better games out there.

Announcement on November 12th 2015 "The Dead Linger is going on the backburner, meaning it’s effectively postponed indefinitely." So take that as you will.

Also in the same announcement; "With a team holding two decades of experience in game development, we’re moving on to something new. We are shifting all of our team to a new multiplayer game, which we’ll announce later on through our twitter."

Be sure to thoroughly read the forums before buying.

The music is hilarious, the gameplay is hilarious, the developer listens and responds and the price is just right if not a downright steal. 10/10 buy if you have even half a sense of humor.

It is a great simulator for normal everyday human interaction. 10/10
