These are games I play today:

we rally the call,
On battlefields vast, we conquer and fall.
With strategy sharp and teamwork tight,
Every skirmish births tales of might.

Then appears,
A test of wits, to face our fears.
Building, looting, as the undead creep,
With every sunrise, we cheat death's sweep.

Next, beckons us near,
Palm trees sway, yet danger's clear.
Zombies swarm in a tropical glow,
With blades and wit, we steal the show.

Oh, what a curious dance we’ve devised,
This realm of pixels, where life digitized
Breathes fleeting form into boundless illusion,
A cosmos born of code and confusion.

See the game dev, the digital mage,
Weaving worlds where heroes engage.
Yet lurking beneath the algorithms' grace,
A specter arises, a shadowed face.

Zombies—our faithful trope, ever trite,
Lurching through landscapes in eternal night.
Yet what are they, but mirrors to be,
Reflecting the dread of humanity?

Mindless consumers of pixels and flesh,
Endlessly hungering, no soul to refresh.
Do they not echo our daily grind,
The loops we replay in the halls of our mind?

And what of the games we so fervently play,
Chasing achievements that fade away?
Are we not players, and played in return,
While the clock ticks on, and our lives burn?

Yet there’s beauty in this—do not despair!
For the zombie, my friend, is our call to beware.
A reminder to wake, to break from the trance,
To see life itself as the ultimate dance.

For the industry hums, and the zombies will roam,
But freedom resides in the “here” we call home.
So play not for conquest, but for the sheer joy,
And let the undead remind you—it’s all a decoy.

The pixels will fade, the servers will fall,
Yet the spirit of play transcends it all.
