This was when I first heard of Carly Rae Jepsen, I heard Call Me Maybe on the radio first one day in April 2012, this is right around the time the song got very popular. Your points are valid but could be expressed in a significantly less verbose way. I am sure you will defend your statements as being intentionally verbose, perhaps for humorous effect.
