Incredible DLC, and honestly astounded at the low price-point. I would pay $20-30 for this plane and the mission content. Love the feel this single-engine machine. Ability for your friends to drop-in copilot to help you manage targeting and navigation (and/or swap the flight stick!) just works incredibly well. Will be using this to introduce friends to flying.I have not heard enough praise around how FUN it is to co-pilot. Being able to use TGP and other systems while your buddy flies is strategically useful. I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy the feeling of immersion; you can really take in the action and scenery at a whole new level (because you don't have to worry about crashing!).10/10, fun for solo or duo flying, lots of awesome mission content included (and awesome mods out there already). A lot of love goes into a DLC like this to work this well. Dev gave us what we asked for, and it's way better than I expected.

Cannot recommend this enough. If you are even remotely interested in combat flight simulation, and have a PCVR setup, you owe it to yourself to buy this game today.

Easy to learn, extremely challenging to master. The fully-interactive controls and cockpit give the experience a depth and immersion that cannot be described. Every takeoff and landing is exhilarating. Every kill feels like an accomplishment.

The array of modern weaponry, radar and targeting equipment will make you feel like a badass strapped to millions of dollars of taxpayer-funded freedom delivery from the heavens. Buy this now, and prepare to be blown away at the best VR experience to date, with lots of amazing content always on the way, not to mention the amazing integrated modding scene.

I have played this game off and on since it's very first launch in early alpha. I recently finished the story (no spoilers here), so I wanted to leave my sincere praise for this title and the team behind it.

This is one of the best survival experiences on the market, hands down. The game world is sublime and gorgeous, even by 2021 standards. The core mechanics are engaging and there is a unexpected amount of depth and creativity in store. The building and crafting trees are substantial, easy to use, and encourage the player to step outside their comfort zone in order to find new gear. Really appreciate the way that Endnight layers elements of the dark story and lore throughout as you explore and brave your way across the peninsula (and it's sinister underbelly: a deceptively massive network of caves).

Combat is somewhat difficult and your survival will depend on your ability to deploy the right tools that work for your playstyle. It is satisfactory to master your weaponry and construct successful traps and defenses. The more you grit your teeth and explore dangerous areas for clues and tools, the more choices you have during combat. The brutality is rewarding. There is a peaceful mode for those who want to enjoy the beauty of nature. Since the core survival mechanics are fantastic, this is viable option for those not interested in the story arc, which is not for the faint of heart.

I cannot overstate how expansive the gameplay loop is. Exploration, PVE combat, hunting, foraging, gardening, base building, and even base defense are all present here in a way that feels so natural and immersive. The player is entirely free to engage with each of these elements as much or as little as they prefer. Very minor categorical spoiler: Be aware that there are two endings to the game, one of which will open up the late game for even more creative survival fun. You will be able to reload a save to choose that option after the primary ending, if desired.

The Forest has excellent full-scale VR support, which you can jump in and out of with non-VR on the same save seamlessly. The game looks and runs surprisingly well on VR, although the scale of certain locations makes for potential vertigo depending on your VR tolerance. I would rate this slightly more extreme than SkyrimVR in terms of VR comfort. Bear in mind that the physics in this game are still wonky at times, although since the last patches the player physics have been entirely stable. I have not tried anything extreme in VR in terms of flight, etc. Core combat, hunting and basebuilding in VR is incredibly fun.

Coop is seamless. You can even do coop in VR, or have some friends in VR, others playing on the screen. Each party has their own save, and it largely functions just like single player in case you wanted to play without friends from time to time, in the same game world. Simple and smart.

The ending is shocking and impactful. The Lovecraftian narrative is aching for a sequel, and thankfully we will be getting one. The world of the Forest is uniquely immersive and mysterious. I keep coming back to this game and I don't think that will change till Sons of the Forest releases. This is a buy at any price, if you are even remotely interested in survival horror.

Thank you for reading, and way to go Endnight. You've kept me enthralled for years.

Others have written more extensively and more eloquently on the quality, value, and experience of Subnautica. Suffice it to say that every piece of the (copious) positive press on this title is 100% accurate. It truly is one of the defining and memorable gaming experiences of this generation.

I have followed this game's development since its very first days on Steam Early Access. As a fan of survival games, particularly atmospheric ones, I was overjoyed at the steady and thoughtful development that Unknown Worlds brought to their game. This was clearly a labor of love.

Now that the game is in full release, I can recommend it without any caveats whatsoever. I encourage everyone I know to purchase this game. Even if you don't usually play survival games, you should try Subnautica. This title has carved out a niche hitherto unexplored, and unlikely to ever be replicated with greater success (except for, God-willing, a sequel by the same team of developers).

I won't say more, because Subnautica speaks for itself with unique beauty, tension, and wonder.

Purchase the game, put on your surround sound, and hold your breath. You are in for a ride to remember.
