Aemon Anyman

In 1723, deep in the heart of an unmapped and ancient forest somewhere in Europe, an antediluvian curse is awakened. What caused it's form to burrow forth from the ground, what manifested this unholy shape like a psychic shadow upon mankind's most violent sins is unknown- all that we know is that with it's awakening the world can never be the same. Walking through the woods by happenstance, a man ponders on a dilemma, oblivious to the dangers he would soon unleash.
Bartolomeo Christofori was travelling through the wood some ways from Florence, his home. He had been struggling with an issue of professional interest, as well as his passions. Muttering to himself aloud, "but the harpsicord- she is so different from the sound I want, its-a breakin' my heart!" (Editor's note: Note how Christofori speaks. This is because he is italian.)
"I need-a somethin' that can do soft tones-" -somewhere nearby, the curse spewn from the earth emits a gentle, timid sound, sustaining and ringing through the air in an exact g minor- "but I-a need-a somethin' ... that can also make-a tha strong deep loud sounds!" No sooner after, a resounding tone pealed out through the air like thunder. (Editor's note: Note that this is not because Christofori is italian)

Thus it was that Bartolomeo, possessed of the wicked curse, brought it back to civilization under the cover of night, it's sleek carapace dark and hideously reflecting the moonlight like finely glazed pottery. This shape was nothing like a man, bearing only the dimmest semblance of life. Bartolomeo Christofori would only live another 8 years- in the heydays of his life, he would say no more than a simple phrase whispered always through smirking lips, " "clavicembalo col piano e forte" (Editor's note: In italian this means "harpsichord that can play soft and loud noises." Notice how Christofori speaks in italian here- this is because he is italian. Florence, you might note, is also Italian- for now)

It is in all states, in high society and common homes across America alike. they speak it's name in the open and invoke it's power at a whim. Fear the Pianists my friends, and fear always the Piano.
