The Winter Wonderland event doesn't give new players the chance to begin. You die constantly from the hunger or you get eaten by carnivores. It is almost impossible to begin without good protection.

Do not buy this game until the (horror)event has come to an end.

Great game, and very addictive. Everywhere nice people to play with. And it is fun to play with your friends. Stop reading, and play the game!
