111 Hours played
After more than 100 hours in I dropped the game before finishing the content in it.
And more importantly I have to wholeheartedly recommend it as the best of its genre (jrpg?), at least among those that I have ever experienced.

+ story of epic proportions - from soldier to ??!
+ unique, well-thought setting - you will explore all of it (10+ countries, 3 continents)
+ philosophy, theology and of course sex - together with the setting and how it interacts with protagonist's powers
+ wealth of well written, interesting characters that you get attached to
+ humor
+ incredible amount of dialogue, which makes the world feel real, especially your harem thanks to their constant banter
+ when your harem becomes big enough (and it makes sense plotwise, e.g. during a war) you often control different parties doing their own objectives. In rare cases for a short time you split the characters into parties on your own adding an extra level of tactics
+ combat is mostly non-repetitive, quite fast and dungeons aren't long

+/- the story is simply unfinished at the time of writing this (v0.62.1). This was a major mistake on my part that I didn't check it, but I also didn't want anything spoiled. It's however a blessing in disguise because it gives me a good reason to play it again after it's done
+/- at times it's more like an interactive book than an rpg - most of the game is spent reading dialogues, walking between characters and sometimes making choices
+/- choices matter - the are hundreds of smaller choices that you have to make during the playthrough - from investing your hard-earned cash to influencing theological discussions. All of them are tracked within hundreds of hidden variables and flags, follow you for the entire playthrough influencing nearly everything. It sounds great, but the system is extremely snowbally and without using a wiki/walkthrough for every single choice from the very beginning your empire will be crumbling all the time, people will die and suffer and you will have no political influence whatsoever. And it's not just choices, often you will not even realize that you missed a chance to talk with someone after an event and lost an opportunity to get more reputation points or even worse. For some this may be flavour text, but it haunts you constantly for tens of hours of playthrough. And that's not enough - eventually you realize that you get less harem members because of these choices. Less quests are available. You miss on unique equipment. Some optional bosses cannot be killed without these. Once I lost the game instantly and barely managed to find a solution by using an older save file (keep a lot of them!). You have to make a choice, from the very beginning if you want to play on your own (and you will fail at everything eventually, believe me, I have seen the calculation charts and how strict the game is) or just go with a walkthrough. I went with the first option for half of my playtime and eventually it evolved into the second one. It was already too late
+/- you cannot grind - nothing respawns, there is a finite number of resources you can have in each step of your journey. If you skip an optional quest then you will possibly be under-leveled for the rest of the game. Or simply said poor because of your bad investments (yes, it snowballs very hard and the game seems to assume you will make the right choices, always)
+/- equipment choice is good, but not amazing. Strangely it feels somehow realistic as well
+/- sex scenes are good, but over time I personally skimmed the less interesting ones (the are hundreds). It can be done very quickly
+/- the sex goes to strange places sometimes and some may find that it crosses too many lines. I didn't mind

- save system performance is broken - there are 100 save slots and the more you use the longer it takes to load the saving screen (up to 5 seconds + extra 5 seconds for the save itself). It took me some time to understand this and until it's fixed I advise to use only 10-15 save slots
- in the second half of the game there seemed to be at the same time slightly more combat and far less novelty in skills you can use (not many new skills when your characters are high level)

I am looking forward to playing the game again when it's done. I dropped it when I realized there is maybe 10h left of the story (in the current version) and I encountered an optional boss that was simply impossible to defeat without items with specific immunity/resistances (of which I had zero). I don't regret it however, it was an amazing journey and I am actually looking forward to going through it again. This time however I will cheat hard, consulting with the wiki on every location and interaction.

Again, I cannot stress it enough - underneath all of it's a mix between a good novel with a game about managing hidden variables. The second part is more involved and what I was thinking about a lot during my playthrough and I expect many people will have a similar experience.
