There is a big bug atm with this game. if you start talking to someone your sim will randomly start yelling or insulting the sim your talking to. if you don't keep an eye on the activity list it makes developing friendly and or romantic relationships impossible. also this affects the NPC's too. they also start doing this when talking with you
