I use this software primarily for gaming, but the application could be used for other things as well. This app also works for games that are not on the Steam platform.

A very good software for games where immersion can be increased via voice commands such as Submarine sims, Tank sims and even tactical shooters, or any game for that matter where there are a lot of different keybindings to memorise.

It is also quite versatile as voice commands can be issued to not only press certain keys, but can also perform actions with the mouse to drag and click certain buttons or icons. This works well in games where keybindings are absent (due to a button to press on the HUD) or are difficult to program for certain actions etc.

In addition to this, multiple commands can be given for the same action if the keybind is only mapped to one key, or to account for style of speech used, such as 'up scope; raise periscope; down scope; lower periscope.
If you are really crafty you can even give commands for contextual menus where the position of desired commands might change on the menu depending on what is looked at or what equipment you may have etc.

A word of advice. If you find it difficult for the program to pick up certain things you say.
Simply go to your 'Windows speech recognition' app on your windows pc, left click the mic symbol on the little interface that appears, to turn it on, then right click on the same symbol and select 'speech dictionary', this will allow you to add new words and speak them so your pc and VoiceAttack can more effectively recognise what you say.
You can also do speech training which is recommended to 'train' Windows to understand your voice better. This can be accessed via the same method as before but click 'configuration' then 'improve voice recognition'.

Using the above methods I have not had many issues with VoiceAttack picking up my commands and would thoroughly recommend the software if it interests you.
