Early Access Review
Songs are great, game is fun, but desperately in need of a key config option.

EDIT: There IS key config hidden in the advance setting menu (F10) in song selection screen. And for some reason, you HAVE TO use mouse to edit the setting. Not putting this into system menu is certainly a choice.

First of all, it is more of a narrative game than a card battler. You will find yourself bribing your way out of combat than brute force the foe directly. I personally find it's like playing a video game version of 7th Continent.

The space for exploration is surprisingly big. The way the game presenting information that "if you do this, A, B and C will lost forever" is super gut-wrenching and inviting multiple playthrough.

A mission with 4 songs only give clear point equal to clearing 3 songs in Freestyle mode. Why punishing people for playing mission? Please at least adjust Mission to reward the same as playing songs in Freestyle.

It is less run of the mill "on-rail" music game where you play song composed by others and more "open-world" music game where you clash samples from different songs to see how it sounds like. At first glance, it looks like shovelware trying to cheat casual players to buy it for "party". But after trying it, the game is surprisingly deep and is obvious that a lot of love and thought have been put into the game.

The sound technology itself is wizardry. What's more magical is that the developer manages to warp music creation that is so subjective and intangible into a sensible and cohesive gameplay and nail it wonderfully. If you like music game you should try it.

The suggestion I can give to the game is the campaign is surely a long tutorial and there is certainly a sense of "no more game" after completing it (despite of the multiplayer portion). It will be wonderful if we can have a non-tutorial campaign like Act 2 or New game+. Even a mode with NPC generating random requests or an online leaderboard for campaign stages will give the solo experience so much leg.

The game has an indie game vibe in a good way. The story, graphics, music and characters are handled with love and care,

Songs are great but some BGA bugs abd UI lag spikes waiting to be fixed

Edit: turned out that update to windows 10 can fix the BGA problem and the UI lag. It's great now! :)

At first glance it is like a Heathstone clone but actually it is not. While Heathstone is more like PvP skirmish, this game is more like using your own cards to plan journey to strengthen your own hero before its inevitable meet up with rival's hero at the end of the match.
