Incredible game. Server stability seems largely resolved, and it's the most fun I've had playing an ARPG maybe ever. Extremely well done

REALLY wanted to enjoy this game, but unfortunately had to refund for now.

At the time of playing it, there were a large number of places survivors could turn into small props and place themselves where they simply couldn't be damaged at all.

The settings menu was resetting every time I entered or left a game, preventing me from playing at my screen's actual resolution or acceptable graphic settings. (I've heard this has been fixed by now though, and I'm thrilled to hear about how frequent the balancing patches are coming out)

The base FOV for killers felt extremely limited, and on certain maps like the corn map it became almost impossible to track a survivor turning into a small object like a rock and breaking your FOV/LoS.

At the time I was also unable to find a way to quickly individually mute players in the game, and by default open coms are enabled which was being reset to on every match. This was leading to some extremely risky and uncomfortable situations on stream with language/BM over coms. The ability to hear area coms feels important for locating survivors, but can also open up a killer for harassment. I'd love to see a way to individually mute, but also give the killer a generic radio/static noise notification if someone near you is using coms that you would otherwise hear if they weren't muted so you can play more safely without fear of losing info.

I felt there was very little information given for killer abilities. I assume that eventually the community will come together and create a wiki for the game, but the base game leaves a lot to be desired in terms of info. The descriptions while in an actual game are short and simple for a quick grasp, but to my knowledge there's nowhere to find more detailed info, and several of the abilities seem to have limitations on how they operate and when. (The eye ability may not detect survivors that are near it already when placed? Or transformed? I'm unsure.) I'd love a place on the website potentially that could have detailed descriptions of killer, survivor, and base game mechanics so I can potentially look things up if something isn't working like I'd expect.

All that being said, the devs have been putting out a pretty wild number of patches at an impressive rate. They clearly want the game to be the best it can be, and I applaud them for that. The game's base concept, art style, and general goofy nature are also fantastic. They've got an amazing foundation to build on. It just feels like it may have been released a little too soon, or spent too little time in the beta phase.

For right now I just couldn't justify the 20 dollar price tag. If I have the opportunity to get my hands on the game in the future, which seems likely if the devs keep doing what they're doing, I'll update this review. Hopefully with a glowing edit about just how much work the devs have continued to do to make this game as good as it feels it can be c:

Amazing game. Dollars to entertainment value is insane, loads of fun minigames and really cool mechanics and physics. Potentially the greatest game of our generation. Should be a PS5 launch title.
