I love this game. By far the most adrenaline I get from any other shooter. 1800’s style guns, means if you want the kill, you have to hit your shots. Most guns are single shot, with varying ammo types(poison, bleed…) as well as non conventional weapons like bows, and a bomb lance.

Play types vary and there’s no “correct” way to play. You can balls to the wall run in and shoot your shotgun, or creep around in the swamp setting up an ambush.

The games audio engine is s tier and it matters. You can tell the difference between shooting indoors and outdoors, direction, and distance. Footsteps and audio traps like birds or kenneled dogs can give your position away.

The PvE is also a big part in the game. Just like the traps, they can hinder your performance. Some AI are more difficult to deal with, unless you bring the correct tools. The hardest part is trying to PvP while AI is coming for you!

Overall 9/10, the learning curve is a bit steep. It’s definitely an action game and is well worth the 20-30 dollars. 1000 hours in an im still playing every day.

I played it when it first came out, and it was awful. Clunky cut-scenes, laggy inputs, invisible characters/borders, etc.. Picked it back up in 2022 and it ran smooth, the gameplay was much better, walking in the city was actually possible, and overall i'm having a great time. I've only had a npc not fully load once since I've restarted the game, and that I can handle. What started as a train wreck ended up being a pretty solid game for the time that it's had to recover. 8/10.
