Early Access Review
I played quite a bit with my friends and had a great time. Due to the up and coming launch of 1.0 I started a solo game and experienced an apparent glitch where I am unable to progress pass HUB tier 0. I've completed all of the milestones but can't get out of Zero. Quite an annoying glitch to say the least. At any rate I've really enjoyed playing this with my friends and would recommend it if you enjoy building and exploring.

Grim Dawn is a fun hack and slash with many options and builds to choose from...I kinda wish they would have an optional graphics upgrade because its looking a little tired, but the game play is solid.

Was gifted this game by a friend, I want to give props to the creator for achieving something unique, but (down side incoming) also frustrating. One of the main reasons I seem to die over & over is the "ram into you mechanic". You pilot a group of slow-ish moving, swap-able, connected orbs, each having their own abilities (as well as the capability to collectively synergize) while enemies spawn in wave after wave. Everything seems to go well until a few rounds of progression and the enemies become innervated with super speed and slam into you. There is a unit that can sometimes stop this from happening but with more and more units spawning it seems to become inevitable and after about 3hrs of trying I've decided to throw in the towel. Additionally the keyboard controls are somewhat awkward and after a while I switched to mouse control, but even then, given the size of map and the multitude of moving enemies, enemy projectiles, death spawns, your projectiles and your spawns projectiles (I might be missing some) the arena tends to get cluttered and it's difficult to see what's going on. ALL that being said I still have to give the creator big props because they have managed to create something unique and somewhat fun from a basic "snake game". If you enjoy a lot of combinations, synergies, random chance, a cluttered screen and speeding enemies you might want to pick this up and give it a fair try.

I'm not at all "addicted" to this game. It is fun for sure and I do come back to it for a few quick runs every day, that being said I do find it frustrating. Be prepared to die a lot and know that you need to power up your character's base stats over many runs. As your character is often changing (depending on if/ what head you pick up) it takes a long time to understand how boss/mini-boss fights should be handled. Not to mention the fact that there are 5 or 6(?) different mini-bosses, some being easier than others (or so it seems). At any rate I do recommend the game for some quick fun.

Very fun game. It was gifted to me and I'm really enjoying it so far. Fight robots on an island in Sweden while slowly collecting and crafting your way to greater victories.

I would HIGHLY suggest watching guides for this game before playing it. I've played it for nearly 40 hrs and am still getting killed by what I feel like are almost gotchya mechanics, "oh you didn't know to bring a certain de-buff card in your deck to a particular boss fight...now your team is dead" and my hrs of game play feel wasted. As you can tell these are my "feelings" and might not be yours. I do hope you enjoy the game though.
