Great potential, but just not for me.

+ Cool setting
+ Unique mechanics like space combat mixed with looter shooter

- Awful graphics
- Tedious inventory system feels like Tetris
- Awful sound system
- Low level players stand little chance against geared players
- Terrible default inventory space
- No revives, which lends less strategy and stress to the game

I love everything this game stands for: gameplay over graphics, successful independent devs, and non-predatory microtransactions. But the gameplay itself doesn't live up to my expectations as a Battlefield alternative and the game needs more time in the cooker to add more content and balance changes. Fun for a few hours but will never replace Battlefield.

+ Great gunplay/recoil
+ Great movement and pacing (except for revives and heals)
+ Hilarious VOIP system

- Lack of jets or attack helicopters
- Revive/heal system is very slow/clunky and doesn't fit the rest of the game
- Sniper rifles are way overtuned (make Marksman rifles useless)
- LMG variety and viability is pathetic
- Sounds are (purposefully?) really weak
- Bad spawn systems lead to chaotic/unpredictable flow of battle and unfair deaths
- Very slow progression

The concept behind this game is SUPERB: randomized maps, strategy and resource management, and team play.

The execution was incredibly POOR: laughably bad gunplay, clunky controls, and seemingly indifferent/clueless devs.

How many steps backward can a franchise take? How many glaring issues will the devs ignore?

Buy this game if you like enemy players being allowed to spawnkill you in an objective-based game, reloads that take literally 3x longer than IRL, movement that feels like ice skating, people being able to walk through molotov cocktails to knife you, and some of the worst multiplayer servers known to man. I am convinced the devs have never played their own game.

Game got really cringey really fast. The series has always been a bit comical but to see the cosmetics, weapons, and emotes get so outlandish just ruined the dark vibe that I grew to love about KF1. Devs promised KF1 vets a special cosmetic or in-game item -- that never happened. Microtransactions too, like seriously?

If there ever is a KF3, I hope it goes back to its gritty, darker roots and drops all the colorful, wacky fluff.

Really repetitive, and I'm only a few hours in. The sound design is generally great, but one of my biggest gripes is that weapons sounds do not match the gritty, brutish style of the game. Firearm audio has no power, and to me, the gun play feels very lacking as a result. Since gun play is a major part of this game, it feels like a repetitive, lackluster experience. Not sure why so many people like this game.
