Forcing people to sign into PSN to boost Sony's numbers is a terrible decision. I feel awful writing this because the developers are hardworking, engaged with the public, and they have a truly great game on their hands. But other great games exist, this one isn't worth risking my security because some suit wants to fluff up numbers for shareholders.

And also because I'm a spiteful, bitter man who demands Bloodborne on PC.

TLDR:
This game is Monster Hunter with FFXIV boss design and fun, cooperative action gameplay. If you like flashy anime nonsense and mechanical depth this game's for you.

PROS:
- Fun gameplay with a surprising amount of depth
- Fun character interactions
- Fights that engage and challenge without being insanely hard
- Gorgeous artstyle that intelligently hides its flaws by making backdrops look like paintings
- Flashy as all hell
- Promotes cooperation through gameplay in ways that are just fun

Cons
- Story is a bit half baked, only really hits if you are already invested in the characters
- Some minor cosmetic content is locked behind dlc paywalls
- Though the combat systems are fun and engaging, they are poorly explained
- The stat system is abysmal, with multiple stats the straight up lie or are extremely unclear (damage cap as a stat REALLY sucks)
- Getting gear gets more reliant on luck than skill the further you get into the game
