While this game is short, it tells a good urban legend and includes some interactive elements.

It unfolds as a series of cinematic scenes on a starry night, set in a rural locale - I like the black-and-white fifties/sixties aesthetic.

The game contains a few mini puzzles, where you need to find and use a combination of items to progress the story - these are not complicated to solve but do add to the sense that you are part of the unfolding story.

With more games on the way, Team Tailnut is a developer to watch.

It is quite a challenge to make a sequel feel as good as the original, but Puzzle Agent 2 delivers in spades.

The quirky characters, great story-line and problem-solving are back in a game that kept me hooked for 3+ hours, in a single play-through. At the time of writing, I have 51/52 mind-bending achievements.

Maybe it is due to my animation training background but I really love the slightly 'rough-around-the-edges' animatic artwork in this game (not to mention the mid-century aesthetic).

If the developers are reading this, any chance of Puzzle Agent 3?

A delightful little game with an appealing visual style that tells a story rooted in folklore.

Game-play is simple and 100% of achievements can be obtained in a single play through.

This is the best idea for an achievement clicker I have seen. Loved the fifties artwork style, the memes as you play through the story and level up, the upbeat theme tune that keeps you smiling (even if it is a little
repetitive). I liked that the achievements register on your Steam profile. The badges, birds mini-game and related content were also a nice touch.

A unique achievement clicker - it includes mini-games, story-driven memes and levelling that breaks up the game-play and keeps it feeling fresh. The fifties styling is fun and with a peppy tune, you can't help but smile playing through this game.

It is a pity Steam does not allow the achievements on your profile as it did for the first instalment of My Name is Mayo.

I enjoyed the theme, visual style and casual game play. Puzzle Agent has a well developed plot line, amusing characters and good problem-solving.

This game is a casual, though atypical, take on the classic JRPG format. The typical sword and sorcery setting is replaced with a contemporary retirement village. The story is about seeing ageing from different perspectives and living with the consequences of our actions. As this morbid mystery unfolds, our protagonist is faced with the dilemma of life and death choices, becoming judge and even executioner.

The game has many pros:
+A simple quest line, fitting soundtrack and novel theme that differentiates it from other RPGMaker type games.
+Easy to use controls (basically arrows to move, enter to interact, escape to access inventory and menu options).
+Playing through the full game, to follow the three possible endings and unlock all achievements, takes a couple of hours.

If I am being picky, the cons are:
-The quest does not offer much challenge and has limited replay-ability. While the story flows as a dream, it lacks suspense and at times feels as if you are just running mundane errands. There are some curious interactions with NPCs and objects that are crying out for more depth, to bring the psychological element more to life.

Overall this is a charming, if somewhat basic game, that offers relaxed game-play and a couple of hours diversion to complete.

I have played the Hearts of Iron series for years and found combat much more challenging in this instalment, which is a good thing. I really like how units are organised and commands are given to armies. I also discovered some interesting new features that added to Paradox's already deep strategy game - generating aces for air wings, refitting ships, laying and sweeping mines, and even building up political support before launching a coup in a country. Recommended to all aspiring armchair generals!
