I love how this game turns your desktop into a pixel aquarium.

It has a very relaxing vibe and works well as an alternative to a screensaver.

Chill out as you watch and feed the fish, with a pleasant guitar loop playing in the background.

This is a fun game that remains quite challenging and rewards patience.

- There are lots of tank classes, tank destroyers and self propelled guns to play, research and collect.
- Actual tank designs from the 1910's to the 1970's add historical interest, while paper and prototype tanks add a 'what if' aspect to the game.
- Customisation elements such as paints, camouflages, decals and crew perks make for a more personalised experience.

Some overall considerations when playing this game:
- Learn to play at your own pace, e.g. make use of the helpful training missions and tank academy tutorials;
- Play the vehicles and classes you like (it is okay to enjoy tanks, armoured cars, tank destroyers and artillery);
- Ignore (or switch off) the chat trolls;
- Most of all, have fun - it is an arcade game after all!

It took a while for me to start getting to grips with the game-play and mechanics. After c.270 hours at the time of writing this review I am still very much learning - a few tips that make a difference as a beginner, even if these seem somewhat obvious, are:
- Make the mini-map bigger and refer to it often;
- Use terrain features and bushes to conceal your position as much as possible;
- Take time to manually aim and aim for tracks and weak spots, for better accuracy - auto-aim can also work well, e.g. on the move;
- If you are spotted, e.g. after firing, move and change position;
- Angle the vehicle whenever possible to safeguard weak spots, e.g. to present 60+ degrees to help deflect hits on flat surfaces.

Go on, admit it - this game has peaked your curiosity...

As described by the developer: this is a short, fun, experimental game in this genre. It delivers exactly that with a quirky style, good animation, humour and animorphism.

We could do with more games like Spearmint Goose - it would be great if there was more content and if achievements counted toward player profiles.

It is a long while since a game has got me hooked like World of Warships (WOW) has.

Apart from premium ships, there are many ships to research for free - you start out with access to four tier 1 cruisers and they play very well at early levels. The daily login rewards, battle experience, campaigns, etc. build up quite quickly.

Certain battles are quite challenging. Playing against bots in co-op battles is easiest, where you can achieve c.98% success in winning battles - by comparison, random battles against players are tougher, where you might achieve c.50% success. Brawls and ranked battles make it even more challenging to increase your skill level.

There seems to be a general rush to get to higher level ships but don't overlook the lower tier ships. Each ship plays a bit differently, with its own strengths and weaknesses - part of the fun is learning to handle them and use them well tactically. The WOW official YouTube channel is useful for seeing how to vary play styles for destroyers, cruisers, battleships, etc.

I am loving the customisation (albeit most are paid features), with special commanders with voice overs, permanent camouflages / ship makeovers, and seasonal themes - these all add a role play experience (one of my recent favourites was the Heroes of Might and Magic 3 theme, which brought in some nostalgia as someone who has played that series).

One feature that is a bit limiting as a Steam player is that you cannot access the wider WOW community through a Wargames.Net account - it would be great if there was a route for Steam players to access more of the community-developed content.

This is an uplifting game. There are little puzzles to solve to progress the story and secrets to find. Beautiful watercolour backgrounds.

I like this hidden object game, themed on "Through the Looking Glass". It is relaxing, with good music choices that suit Alice's story and the visual themes flowing through it. I spotted the odd White Rabbit but no Mad Hatter unfortunately - the Queen of Hearts was present in a few guises though. You need to replay some levels and take less hints to unlock all the objects and achievements.

This little game is a gem - we need more games that raise awareness of social challenges, such as anxiety.

I also loved the artwork, which has a touch of mid-century animation / print-making style about it.

I am not very good at platformers but Sackboy has me hooked. It is a blast playing in co-op mode and has us in stitches with laughter.

Wholesome fun, can be quite challenging at times, a peppy visual style and memorable OST. I also like that it has has a wide range of customisation for costumes and emotes.

Quick to play - this is a cute, interactive and educational story about the journey of a seed.

I particularly like the hand-drawn, coloured pencil look of the game.

100% of achievements can be obtained in a c. 15 minute play-through and, best of all, it is free.

This game gets mixed reviews, but there is a lot to like about it. Let's look at it objectively...

Pros:
Two kick-ass heroines with attitude - a chip off the old B.J. block you might say and we need more strong women as role-models in games.

Weird war tech, Uber Soldaten, Kampfhunde, Mechs, a big blimp - a city-full of bad Nazis to slay (did I mention the elite jagers in their catsuits?)

Cool diversion in the timeline - I really like the 80's theme, a bit of German techno beats anyone?

Different ways to play - personally I like the stealth and accuracy, but hey if you want to go in all guns blazing or want to tackle big Hans that's fine too!

Excellent twist in the Resistance story - I did not see that coming and not sure how she survived such a skewering...

Levels can get quite challenging - groups of tough nuts to kill, running low on ammo and medi-kits; the double-jumping I found tricky and the final boss fight... well, let's just say I'm still trying to beat him.

Cons:
I would have liked the option to save progress as I play, rather than make it to a checkpoint - that functionality means you live, die, repeat... a lot!

The Elite Hans mini games seem clunky compared to earlier games that brought in Wolf 3D more seamlessly.

It is difficult to top the earlier titles in the series - while the Neu-Paris setting is interesting, the game-play no longer feels quite as fresh and, sometimes, the maps get a little repetitive.

A few reviews highlight that this instalment does not follow canon - the story does take a detour, while I loved it some of the more purist fans may not.

I can't comment on the multiplayer angle, as have only played solo.

Overall, I really enjoyed this game.
