Honestly a complete breath of fresh air to the zombie genre. Zombies behave differently and there are some mechanics hinted for the full game which would make it really interesting. (Think "I am legend") The fights were quite brutal if you didn't put on obstacle between you and the infected, which felt challenging enough that your guys didn't feel like "the heroes" but just regular people trying to survive.

Mechanically fun as well, making the base feels like a rush against time before zombies overtake you but not in a way you're feeling absolutely hopeless. Workers also work pretty intuitively and didn't really need to watch them except to tell them to do things now and again which meant I could focus on people scavenging.

The graphics are pretty good considering the maps were made using actual maps of places. Not too fancy but didn't really bother me.

One sour point was the route the car would take sometimes as it tends to take you round the long way rather than through palisades. Probably an easy fix before the early access release though tbh. Honestly don't really have anything else bad to say about it, just an all round well executed and interesting concept. Can definitely tell a lot of dedication and passion has gone into this!

Overall very promising game which I'm looking forward to coming out! This game will definitely breath some life back into the zombie base builder genre.
