Just starting Chapter 2 as of this review, but already the game captivates me with its grim atmosphere and brutal combat. It really captures the horror of the First World War in a way other titles do not. The ever decaying corpses, the sounds of battle, the feeling of constant dread, soldiers having mental breakdowns while others wail out in pain from having lost their legs. As you find yourself lost in a network of trenches the Germans are ever ready to cleave you with a trench shovel, pierce you with bullets, or incinerate you with dreaded flamethrowers. If the Germans don't get you, then the rats will look to satiate their hunger with your flesh. You'll press on however, trying your best to survive as so many others did over 100 years ago during that gruesome conflict. You must, for the Germans shall not pass!

(Here's to hoping for story DLC's with new weapons and costumes!)

Simply put, it's a hardcore CQB FPS that has very intense firefights, above average visuals, and awesome gun play. There are soldier customization options and plenty of guns to choose from with each of the six or so classes with only the real uniqueness coming from class specific weapons/items. Like Medics get health crates, Snipers get flare pistols, and Engineers get RPG's and flamethrowers. The game also includes BOT support for offline and online gameplay. The bots work well about 85-90% of the time, with the only map they seem to wig out on being the Embassy map. Probably path errors, but not a big deal since the other maps are just as good. The player base is present, albeit rather small at the time of writing. If you enjoy Vietnam and brutal CQB, then I HIGHLY recommend this game.

Pros:
- Weapon Variety
- Soldier Customization
- Above average Bots
- Visuals and Gore
- TTK feels good
- Smelling napalm in the morning

Replacing "Cons" with --

Wishlist:
- Maps just big enough for a couple tanks
- Weapon customization (not skins)
- DLC/Standalone set in WWI or Korea would be neat since these two are back-burners like Vietnam games
- More soldier customization options

It's New Vegas baby! What more can I say except "Let's go kick some ass in a nuclear desert and hit up them slots"! Great cult classic with great gameplay, MANY mods, good DLC's; just a solid RPG in general. A must play for any gamer.

Very well made WWII classic. Can be a difficult game if you do not save often and plan accordingly. Recommended to those who like action and stealth, but not a walk in the park.

An absolute classic that I believe still holds up well and strong after all these years. With what the monotonous main campaign may lack, the amount of interesting side quests and DLC content available fail to disappoint. The feeling of Cyrodil is nice with multiple "biomes" to explore, with each holding many dungeons, villages, and even easter eggs. The amount of baddies and sub-variants to those baddies is quite abundant, with newer enemies spawning around as you level. The game also holds on to the idea that enchanted and silver weapons are required to slay the ethereal undead (ghosts, wraiths, etc) which I personally find as a nice challenge to spice up the game, especially if and when your weapon breaks. That's where spells usually come in. Those familiar with any of the games in the franchise know the different forms of spellcasting (conjuration, destruction, alteration, etc). Oblivion has a mess of spells to play with. Whether it's conjuring Liches and Gloom Wraiths, vaporizing your enemies with natures elements, putting curses onto foes, opening locks, charming the clerks, preventing enemy spellcasting, paralyzing people, or getting sneaky with a blanket of invisibility; there's generally always something to suit your needs. On top of that you can make your own spells too! Even your own custom birthsign and class! This game will always be a personal favorite. A true 9/10 with so much to do.

Very fun game inspired by the early Fallout series and has a familiar similarity in setting to the Metro 2033 series. Tons of lore and a large world to explore with many encounters. The combat can be unforgiving but so is the rough life on the wastes. You can make your own character (obviously) with their name, portrait, custom backstory (optional), skills, perks, etc. If you're into games with rich stories, rpg-elements, and turn-based combat (dont let it deter you as it's quite good), then I HIGHLY recommend this to you. *Play this before Trudograd*

Men of War but better. Good animations, familiar controls, little buggy but what game isnt these days. Dynamic conquest is the best part in my opinion. More content all around has been confirmed by DEV's. It's guuuuuud :).

Only 4 hours in and one of the best games ive ever played. If youre like me and love open world crafting elements and Norse mythology, then this is the game to get.
