I have played every Splinter Cell game since the very first one came out for PC. Sam Fisher is an amazing character, and this game makes 24 look like a Disney movie.

The only criticism I have is that once you progress through certain parts of the story, you have to reset the entire game progress if you want to replay them again. That being said, the presentation is great, and the story spectacular.

The controls have kept evolving and the action hasbecome more intuitive. In previous games engaging in a prolonged fire-fight was unruly and necessitated the use of gadgets to compensate for the imprecision of the controls. This game has taken all the progress made in Conviction and evolved into a finely tuned shooter. I wouldn't go as far as saying that weapon handling is as smooth as AAA shooters like CoD, BF or Far Cry, but you can still drop five targets in rapid succession with ease if you have the skill. Combined with the mark and execute system, all three gameplay methods are endlessly entertaining.

If you enjoyed the pure SC games way back this game is for you. If you enjoyed Conviction this will feel amazing. And if, God forbid, you haven't played a SC game before, you should buy it, play it and love it. :)
