Very authentic and fun to play.

Hellblade is by far the best game I have played in 2017. The psychosis aspect of this game blew me away, I became so engrossed with the voices it made it very hard at times to focus on the "good" ones. I honestly became emotionally invested in her story, the sounds and visuals of hallucinations and delusions made everything feel so real, and Senua talking directly to the gamer added another twtist in trying to figure out who I as the player was during this. During the cutscenes I had a dfficult time trying to figure out what was real, who to trust, what to trust, who to listen to and left me questioning everythign I saw, heard and thought. I know this diffculty is exactly what the developers wanted me to experience and I loved it. This diffculty was not a negative experience, in fact it was postive and without it the game wouldn't have had as much of an impact on me as a player as it did. The puzzles were enjoyable and the combat was smooth and fairly simple, all of which the developers did a good balance between it and the story. This game is mainly about Senua, her quest, sacrifice, torment, love, hate, confusion, sadness and acceptance. I reccomend this game to anyone who is looking for a fresh idea, new game, enjoys thrillerd, suspense, and psychological horror.
