A very good game. I enjoy its competitive character and the moments of tension in which reaction in seconds is required. The fine graphics and smooth gameplay are also a very good reason to play this game. :)

I decided to start The Witcher series just because I saw some critics praising it. As a 2007 game I was a bit skeptic about the garphics and gameplay, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The graphics, in my oppinion, are not very relevant for such games, as they focus on the story. Even so, the graphic aspect of the NPC's is very repetitive, all the elves and dwarves look the same except the colour of clothes. The men have maximum 5 different faces and the women 4. The exception are the important characters that have custom faces, which I liked.
In matters of gameplay, it took some time to get accustomed to the the combat system, as it was very different from all the games I played before, but now I find it rather intelligent and enjoyable.
The story was AMAZING! Very captivating and difficult to predict. It impressed me so much the difficulty and importance of making choices and taking decisions, a lot harder than in Dragon Age and Mass Effect series.
A 65h game that really deserves the money. Right now I'm already installing The Witcher 2 :)
