Stewart Chisam, resign or give the game to another company with competent leadership. you are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game over and collecting paychecks while your development team suffers... do this game a favor and RESIGN. every single person you have fired made smite so special to its fans, but what have you done aside from hammer the final nails on this game's coffin?

love the game so far, however i do wish the steam deck (and controllers in general) were better supported so i can be chronically online :( very excited to see where this game goes though <3

Originally a good game, had a lot of fun in the beginning. Card system was neat, the combat wasn't horrible, characters were pretty mid with no charm to them but serviceable. However, just like the faith I had in Evolved (yeah I know) it was quickly thrown away and since then the game has since been abandoned by turtle rock.
I feel like they never really give their games time. So I guess I won't be giving turtle rock anymore of my time either.
Good game that mightve been better had they tried, ruined by a disappointing dev team, unfortunate.

really cute game with lots of potential!

the game is a bit tricky to understand at first, but once you figure everything out its smooth sailing. have had a lot of fun playing this game and im so excited to see where it goes in the future! i really love the developer interaction with the community as well with doing future creature votes and listening to feedback. this is truly an indie developer that deserves support and praise, you can tell its a true labor of love. do not let the looks deceive you! try this game!

it really do be a fun, lovingly made fan game tho 😳

yeah... no.... imagine selling a DLC creature as one of your first playables with barely any content and an extremely, unnecessarily large, boring map with no landmarks and nothing interesting to look at. i get you can get nested in as an acid spitter drake if someone actually forked out cash to buy it, but you really had to go and limit the choices of playables with a paywall THIS EARLY into development? terrible move, if not absolutely greedy. i hate to stain my account by reviewing this game and out myself as a supporter but i deeply regret backing this project so far, thank god i didnt decide to do a higher tier LOL. the way development is handled is just tragic, just look at the developer responses to some of these reviews (youtube vids also highlight the main dev's temper tantrums very well too) and how they respond to criticism. i would talk more about the game but uhhh.... im afraid theres not much to talk about as most of the fun this game has comes from the hilarious lack of professionalism from the dev team, specifically jao. learned a valuable lesson from this game though, make sure you research the developer of a kickstarter project before you throw money at someone incapable.

the knock-off night fury is also a great touch, brings the entire kickstarter game scam together.

so yeah TL;DR only play this game if you have a nice pair of rose tinted glasses because the amount of red flags this game's development has would make nazi germany jealous, this game is screwed in the hands of these devs, only play if you enjoy dragon walking and dying simulator

TL:DR; i usually dont make serious game reviews but this is by far the best dinosaur creature simulator game out there rn (IN MY OPINION, OBVIOUSLY, THIS CAN CHANGE IN THE FUTURE) if you can get past the "cartoony", colorful graphics (which i personally dont mind, you dont have to be brightly colored if you dont want to) and occasional drama between children who probably play the game all day and never log off lol Beasts of Bermuda has great game mechanics for its genre which will never leave you mindlessly afking in a bush for hours on end, i strongly recommend this game if youre looking for a break from the isle or interested in refreshing, interactive game play from the dinosaur role-play game genre

pros: weather/natural disaster system (tornadoes, floods, lightning storms as of this review), the nesting system is absolutely fantastic and feels rewarding at times as both parent and baby, TALENTS (FINALLY, A REASON TO GROW FOR REAL TIME HOURS ON END IN A CREATURE SIM), flying and aquatic game play that has decent and pretty fun controls, buff/debuff system which can boost/hinder your dino's quality of life forcing you to actively seek out fresh food or herbs to keep up comfort, some dinosaurs have combat abilities (sai or anky has a shield reflection ability that reflects bite damage back to the attacker for example) which makes combat more interesting, active developers with an active discord that posts development updates

cons: this community loves drama and making a big deal out of their pixel dinosaur dying so be prepared for toxicity as always, there arent a lot of active servers (maybe ~4-6 active servers with at least above 40 people on the daily) and you may see many of the same faces which could be a negative thing with the somewhat toxic player base, again this game is relatively new and thus lacks a lot of graphical and audio polish so if youre looking for ultrarealistic dinosaur simulator 2020 id suggest finding a different game lol, also no allosaurus in game yet come on devs, pls <3

i hope my great great grandchildren enjoy the next patch
