You can poop yourself, then sell that poop to your customers.

The rest of the game is pretty great too.

This game is a masochists absolute dream.

Rimworld involves you building a colony from a set of starting scenarios ranging from being a wealthy trader, to having no clothes on your back. Your colony will grow through a series of random events, all of which are dished out by "storytellers" Casandra: who ramps up the difficulty as the game goes on. Phoebe: Who hits you hard, but gives you plenty of time to recover and....Randy: who's just random.

You don't really directly control your colonists, unless you're under attack. Instead, you need to prioritise their day to day work, based on their abilities. Make sure you look after them too...anything from a tragic death of a loved one, to eating a meal without a table (can I get an F?) will affect your colonists mental health and might result in them having a breakdown that you're unable to control.

The endgame objective involves you finding/building a starship to escape the planet, although 200+ hours in and I've still never achieved it.

Where the game truly shines though, is the modding community. This turns Rimworld into a roleplayers dream game and is why I've never "completed" it. Want to try and build a walking dead style colony in a zombie apocalypse? Sure. Want to create a medieval town? Got you covered. Fancy building a cannibalistic, cthulu worshipping cult? Why not. There are hundreds of mods which you can tailor to your own unique experience.

I even managed to get my girlfriend into this game and she's clocked more hours than I have!

This is only really, a summary. I recommend checking out the letsplays, to see if this game for you, but I will highly recommend it. 10/10 - Would let my colony get massacred by a giant centipede again.

A short, touching story from the creators of To The Moon.

Some superb dialogue, a beautiful soundtrack and an emotional story make this a must play game.

9/10 Would Kamehamehadouken again.

REVIEW IN PROGRESS

So, I'm almost 20 hours in to WTF do I do now (Graveyard Kepper) Simulator and I think I can write up a decent enough starting review and update at a later date.

Graveyard Keeper is, as far as I'm aware, the only graveyard keeper sim on the market and that gives it a very unique setting as far as games go.
The art style is fantastic and being 20 hours in and feeling like I still haven't scratched the surface as well as being a very hands on and head scratching game, I feel I have already got my £15 worth and then some! As it stands, I recommend the game if you're fans of this kind of genre.

THE GOOD
* Very unique setting and great art style
* Deep crafting system with hundreds of items including workbenches, crops, tools, ores, flowers, TOMBSTONES , frogs, fish, CORPSE PARTS and that's to name a few
* Large map with plenty to see and explore
* Wide array of tasks to complete including AUTOPSIES =o , Grave digging, grave decorating, gravyard gardening, fishing, cooking, mining, farming, alchemy, FEEDING A TALKING SKULL BEER and much more.
* Several "tech" trees to max out ranging from church development to anatomy and embalming
* Lots of quests
* Plenty of those EUREKA! moments when you figure out how to do something

THE BAD
* Energy system that requires constant bedrest or food intake that would naturally kill a man
* No character customization, would be cook to look like someone out of Bloodborne
* Quests can be rather fetchy
* Village doesn't feel "alive" important NPCs mostly stand around
* Sometimes task list feels TOO large
* Music doesn't feel too varied?
* Sermons are a bit bland
* Story, whilst there, Isn't massively engaging

All in all I feel at this time the good definitly far outweighs the bad. I'm having fun discovering what the game has to offer and optimizing my days and finding there's more to the game than simply managing a graveyard. I'll update the review once I feel I've "finished" the game!

Thanks for reading

What can I say about The Culling?

As It's my first BR type game I can safely say I've had more good times in this game than bad ones. I've throughly enjoyed really tense melee duels only to have my kill stolen by someone hiding in a bush with a bow and then have him come and teach me a lesson in pain.
The game actually requires you to think. Is looting that building someone's already in a good idea? Likelhood is they're already better geared...
Do I join in on that fight going on over the river there or do I wait and take advantage of the one who survives??
Do I call in my airdrop now with so many still alive and risk being exposed???

PROS:
Simple combat that ranges from close combat, bow use, gunplay and even trapping people and explosive use
Beautiful to look at
Nice map - Hopefully they add more, perhaps an urban based one?
Nice array of weapons
Great potential!

CONS:
LAG! For the love of god I've been murdered so many times by someone who seems to be able to teleport around me and slap me around.
Combat! It needs work
Balancing is an issue, but It's in Alpha so hopefully they'll work out the kinks
Useless perks - Plenty!

For those looking for a quick fix, this might be your game. It's nerve wracking, exciting and frustrating. Short matches ensure you're always close to a bit of action and some solid choices will make sure you survive.

Good luck! You're gonna need it.

I'll keep this short.

This game is great. The art style, the music and the story are superb.

You aren't going to get a lot of play time out of it, I completed it in a few hours. But even so, I recommend this to anyone who's willing to enjoy an interactive story experience which can make you laugh as easily as it can pull at your heart strings.

This game is brutal.

I returned after a long period of not playing and am very satisfied with the changes that are currently in the beta build. The addition of more occupations for your character + perks/debuffs make for some very interesting character builds.

With almost no hand holding, you're plonked into a random house in the middle of a map that you'll have no idea how to navigate. With nothing but the clothes on your back and food in your fridge "plus anything else you're lucky to find" You set off on your adventure! Looting shops, houses, warehouses, farms, petrol stations all in the hopes you'll find a little more loot to help you survive that extra day.

All the while you're battling the hordes of the undead. The sandbox mod allows you to tweak the nasty biters any way you like. Want old school zombies? Sure! Want to try and survive in a scenario like 28 days later? Go for it! "although not recommended" You'll fight with whatever you can find. Kitchen knives, bats, axes, planks of wood. There are also firearms, but remember! the zombies react to sounds and a gunshot will likely make all your problems worse. Hordes of zombies migrate at random events that happen in game so don't ever think that large group won't think twice about seeing what tasty morsel hides in your home when a chopper goes overhead.

Along with the copious amounts of brains you'll be ejecting from skulls you will also have to contend with the isolation that is the zombie apocalypse. You'll be holed up in a house for days on end, fortifying, all whilst your character becomes bored, lonely and depressed at the thought they're the only one left.

If I could give a few tips to anyone new playing, It'd be invest in the future. Read the books and learn how to farm, fish and build. The power shuts off and any fresh food will go mouldy. The water will go and you will have to find other ways to sustain your thirst. So spend time learning how you're going to extend your life without the comforts we all take for granted.

Good luck! You're going to need it.
